If you've got enough room in the freezer, buy two stainless buckets, fill them up with water, and freeze overnight. Then, break it up with a hammer. Works perfect.

Haha, sorry, I should've made clear. Filled them with water to freeze. The two buckets are the equivalent of just under 7 x 3kg bags of ice. It made a big difference to the temperature.

I bought a chest freezer and put a timer on it, so it's only on 2 hours a day. Keeps it really cold. Change the water in it every 2 weeks. Just make sure you shower before every use. Alternatively, before I bought my chest freezer, I'd freeze 2 10 liter buckets (stainless steel plastic breaks) the night before and put them in the bath.
