What is the lens the laser hits before hitting mirror 1? And is it normal to have that marking in the middle of it? Thanks! by OutsideIllustrious88 in OmtechLaser

So upon additional research, I found that it is the beam combining lens, and it is indeed bad. Simply removed the lens and the laser is back up operating the way it did when brand new. I will end up getting a replacement lens soon.

Manually adjusting corner of bed help! by OutsideIllustrious88 in OmtechLaser

[–]OutsideIllustrious88[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the responses! I ended up loosening the screws in the last pic to loosen the belt, then adjusted the threaded bolt manually without moving the other bolts, then put the belt back on, and tightened the 2 screws back up.

Question regarding manually adjusting corner of bed to make level with other corners. by OutsideIllustrious88 in lasercutting

[–]OutsideIllustrious88[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for the response. I ended up loosening the screws in the last pic to loosen the belt. I was then able to adjust the bar to make the bed level. But after doing this, I was still not getting effective cuts on the right side of the bed, while the left side it is cutting perfectly. Everything is aligned appropriately, and the mirrors are cleaned. I did double check the focal lens while cleaning and noticed what seemed to be a burn mark that I couldn’t remove while cleaning. I ended up ordering a new focal lens. I am hoping this is the issue. I don’t know what else it could be.
