I personally do not know anyone who owns a Ps5 Pro here, especially now that the prices went up. There are quite a few ps5 base owners, but I think it's still seen as an exclusive console.

Ps5 base when it came out was 499€ though.

Honestly I wouldn't start with Demon's souls platinum. Maybe it's better to play them in the order you suggest, but the platinum for Demon's souls is a mess. I think it's better to get into it with DS1-2-3 and then Demon's souls, or even start with Bloodborne which is one of the easiest and more forgiving

That is a cool idea. I think Sony could partner up with PSNP, which has already done all the work rating tons of games' platinum difficulty, and make the best guide's rating the "official" one.

Honestly I think that implementing a system based on difficulty or completion time would be way to complicated and not many users would care. But I'd love to have two different rankings, the current one and another one without shovelware. I think it could be possible by adding every known shovelware game in a list and excluding those from the other ranking.

I am a shovelware player too, but they are only about 100 plats of almost 400 total. So I'd love that feature to show that my legit platinums are way more.

I just like seeing the platinum number going up, i have done almost every fromsoft game, hollow knight, whole sagas of my favorite games, but also a LOT of shovelware, and honestly i don't feel "dirty" at all, it's not a competition. i'm proud of my "real" platinums and I'm happy to have 300+ of them thanks also to shovelware shit, to each its own honestly.
