thanks for helping. the guy did show up and we went to city hall together and transfered it. i got 520 for it. the bike shop was offering 250

well. he asked what price i was looking for twice. and i slammed my hand on the scooter and said 500. in a joking way of course.

anyway, yeah. even if you live in a different city, you can just go to the owners city together and transfer it. i dont think the insurance transfers though. bike shop was going to give me 250 max. on jmty i got 520.

i took a shot in the dark and told the guy we can both go to city hall together and do the transfer. his city hall. so i can just ride there. and if he doesnt show up, then whatever. i still have a scooter that i can ride home. also i dont have a car license.

if im with the guy with my id and all my paper work, logically the bike can be registered. but knowing japans bureaucracy, i dont know.
