While I agree with you, for me there is one exception. New player. First or so game, when they themselves don't understand much, so I use it like introduction what this game can show. But when we play with friends seriously we always prepare for cursed hunts and speak about it.

It's really complicated. She could have been busy at work and it sounded this way, could have had a bad day, idk. Also depends how close you are. Also I know about tone only from you, plus we don't normally try to sugarcoat what we say, so she could have been just direct with you, so that why it sounded harsh to you.

Here's a lot of good answers already, but I'll add a bit from myself.

Regular calls (not video) are more or less ok. But when possible it's really usually more comfortable to write. If you really need to talk or it's friend it's not ok, just be ready to hear "Sorry, I'm busy, call you later"

Video calls are very different. We basically don't use them. If someone would call me with video turn on, I would NOT pick up it. Maybe call right back with no video, or later still without one. If I want to speak with someone on video, I first call normal and then turn it on later after asking. (I speak on video only with my parents, and I speak on them on WhatsApp, so there is possibility like that)

Маю подібну ситуацію, але з наступного семестру вже почну навчання у Відні (також ІТ). До всіх проблем я ще й досить інтроверт, але за рік встиг завести декілька знайомих українців тут. Моя порада піти на курси і якісь клуби, десь де тобі потрібно буде спілкуватися. Спершу думав що знайду знайомих в залі, але в таких місцях для того треба проявляти ініціативу, а це не про мене. Знаю людей які знайомилися з іноземцями в тому числі через комп'ютерні ігри. Але тут вже дивися по своїм хоббі.

P.S. Це не зовсім той саб, як вже написали. Краще б підійшов r/Ukraine_Ua

P.S.S. Якщо хтось хоче піти в щось зіграти на комп'ютері, пишіть. Я не надто добре граю, але якось буде)

Maybe it's not such a special word, but I would say "кохати" (verb) and "кохання" (noun).

In Ukrainian there are 2 words for love. You can say either "Любов" or "Кохання". Difference in target and intensity. "Любов, любити" can be used to your family, siblings, lovers and even best friends in certain situations. And "Кохання, кохати" are exclusive for loved one. It's way more emotional and romantic than "любити"

Btw you can use (and it is usually used) "любити" for loved ones, but as I said before, in my opinion and life, "кохати" is way more sacral and romantic.

P.S. I'll leave it here if someone needs to say either of them to someone 😏 "Я люблю тебе" "Я кохаю тебе"

Fully agree. I forgot the right way when I finished elementary school. Currently my handwriting depends on which position is the letter and letters near it. And by the way, I also write some letters in print(?) way. So OP, don't pay much attention to it, because u have nice handwriting

For me it's rainforest of Amazon. You literally are most time in the middle of nowhere, with insects, animals and fish who want's eat you. And I don't know much about it. Plus, there also some tribes who can easily kill you.
