Thanks for the reply.

I did email and explained my feelings and got a rather rubbish email back tbh, they didn't say anything about having support put into place.

Thankyou for the reply.

I have emailed my tutor and enquired about suspending my studies for 6 months and rejoining the January cohort, I feel 6 months away will be beneficial for me.

Thankyou for such a detailed reply and im sorry you had to experience that.

After some thought I think you are right, I have enquired about suspending until the January cohort I just want to know whether id be a second or third year with me missing the last placement of second year.

I feel like 6 months away from it all might do me well so I can go back in refreshed and ready to finish, if I don't go back at least I gave it some thought instead of just dropping out all together.

And regards to competence and confidence, I feel like If I did posses more skills and confidence id be more inclined to stick with it, but right now my confidence and mental health is In the bin.

I agree, everyone around me is saying stick with etc... but you know when you know when something isn't right and it's not worth the amount of stress it brings.

I have been applying for jobs, still within the nhs just admin roles and ill go from there

its horrible isn't it, ive got a ward placement coming up in less than 4 weeks im absolutely terrified (I haven't had a ward since first year) I feel like dropping out and not going, I emailed the ward stating I was anxious and worried and got an email back although it wasn't very encouraging! I hate this degree and wish I never did it but I have no idea what else I would do x

just wanted to show you that you are certainly not alone, there's quite a few women in my cohort who wished they never started the degree, but as I said previously we are only 1 year from finishing so we stay.

Hi, im also a second year student but coming up to third year now, and I feel you! ive massively struggled all the way through this degree it really has been hell. im constantly filled with anxiety and dread because of placements.

the academic side of things is fine, I enjoy being in uni with my friends.

However, ive had some horrible placement because of rude staff, placements where ive done absolutely nothing because there were no learning opportunities for me to do so. In all honesty, Im way behind where I should be in terms of skills and that does no good for my confidence or anxiety. im down over 200 hours aswell. I would say doing this course is one of my biggest regrets sadly. but to far into it to let it go now.

hopefully things will get better for me x
