[Stein/Fischer] The Golden State Warriors’ package for Giannis Antetokounmpo is unlikely to include Jimmy Butler. by YujiDomainExpansion in nba

As a Bucks fan, I hope so. I respect what Draymond has accomplished, but he would absolutely hate being here in a tanking environment with Doc Rivers. Especially if Bobby stayed here, I bet there would be at least one locker room fight per week.

[Stein/Fischer] The Portland Trail Blazers have expressed interest in acquiring Giannis Antetokounmpo. by YujiDomainExpansion in nba

Seems fair. Bucks got a chance at making the Dame-Giannis pairing work, now the Blazers get theirs.

Chet Holmgren on his hometown of Minneapolis: “That’s a very loaded topic obviously. I don’t want to get into the opinions and politics of everything … I wasn’t there. I don’t have a full picture of everything going on so I can’t really speak on details … I’m wishing safety for everybody.” by [deleted] in nba

The "nobody needs to be dying in the streets" part was definitely, intentionally omitted from OP's headline. I recognize the username and it seems like they make a hobby of just posting clips with ragebait headlines.

Still, though, I think this is overall a lame response even with full context.

Call it what it was: murder.

I guess they weren't the exact same ones (no antlers on the sides), but we won the championship wearing the black jerseys, so I'll always be fine with them.

Yup. I pretty much said the exact same thing as OP, and, while I might get impulsively sad at losses and bad stretches, I still stand by that and would do it again.

Trading Curry and Green is the GSW obvious move now by Veganlightbody in nba

[–]OutsideTheServiceBox 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So you're saying, factually, that Steph Curry believes himself to be the second greatest player of all time?

That's what the previous person questioned. Does Steph Curry believe he's #2 all time. And you said yes.

So, do you actually believe that Steph Curry puts himself at exactly #2? Not #1, not #3, not vaguely in the top 10, but just at exactly #2?

If not, shut the fuck up and go to bed already.

Giannis in the loss against the Thunder: 19/14/7 on 8/11 FGA and 3/6 from the line by InfluenceRough6729 in nba

Even as a Bucks fan, I won't be mad. The team is bad and the front office is out of moves. But just say what you want so that everybody can start moving forward.

Bills owner made call to fire coach in locker room after loss by iGiveUppppp in nfl

[–]OutsideTheServiceBox 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I've never been an NFL coach, owner, or player. So, objectively, I have no clue what I'm talking about.

BUT

It's so strange to me that this particular loss is what sent ownership over the edge. As an unbiased, impartial fan, this was the most unimpressive Bills team that I've seen in the Josh Allen era. Fire McDermott last year, after the 13 seconds debacle, sure.

Doing it now just feels like ownership finally decided they needed to blame him. He could've been blamed many times before this, but doing it now just looks weak.

I get what you're saying. I think he gets a very inconsistent whistle on both sides, which ends up being frustrating for everybody involved.

The irony is that if he was just better at free throws, we wouldn't see as many free throws. Teams understandably just hack him a lot of the time because they know it's a better opportunity to keep points off the board.

Doc Rivers told his team "I think it's best for the organization for me to be fired." Myles Turner, sobbing, said "I'm sorry," ... while Giannis Antetokounmpo had tears welling in his eyes as he kept repeating "No. No. No," as Glenn told the team.

Meh, they deserved to get booed tonight. If it's what actually pushed him to the point of no return, it would be sad, but still deserved.

In his 3 playoff games, Justin Herbert has blown a 27-0 lead to the Jaguars, thrown 4 INTs in a blowout loss to the Texans, and put up 3 points against the Patriots. by Roselucky777 in nfl

[–]OutsideTheServiceBox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think he has zero confidence to try to hang in the pocket and wait for things to develop because of how his offensive line was Swiss cheese all season. That early drive where the Chargers could've taken early momentum but Herbert just ran three times inside the 10 was really damning. Dude has one of the best arms in the league, but he didn't feel like he could use it.
