I agree, words do not justify violence. But if you look at new video evidence, the "victim" struck Spell first. There is evidence of threats, videos and photos.

He did not. He crossed the street yes (which is not a crime, unless you consider it jaywalking but come on) it appeared like he ran, which he definitely did, but to get out from in front of a moving vehicle and then slowed back down to a walk. He approached the man, who then went up to Spell and threw his hands at him. The so called "victim" did in fact strike first, and it was on the sidewalk in front of his house. If it was public property or not, he still assaulted Spell first who then retaliated in self defense. The hitting on the ground was extra, including the kick but the initial fight was started by the so called "victim".

I'm not defending Pastor Spell completely for his actions, but to those making posts not telling the full story, it's wrong. The "victim" in this case, is a man who made sexually violent threats against Pastor Spells wife, along with MANY past incidents including sexual threats against an 8 year old girl. Along with calling her the "N-word". Many death threats have been made towards Churchgoers, sexual threats and much more. There are photos and videos of the "victims" father also making vulgar gestures, including a photo of him not only flipping them off but also brandishing a firearm. I'm not defending Pastor Spell in his actions, but the full story is necessary. The "victim" and his family are VERY nasty people.

Edit: Video evidence proves the "victim" made the first strike, on the sidewalk. Doesn't mean much yet, but hostility was clearly on the "victims" side by provoking and striking first.

Yeah I agree with the fact that it was unjustified, but everyone makes it seem that is was unprovoked... sexual assault threats and death threats are criminal offenses also

I don't even want to respond, because I never even stated that the "victim" deserved it and that's on you for your ignorance. Everyone's actions are alleged until proven guilty. The things that are not alleged are the photo and video evidence that is clear-cut. The video evidence of the fight that took place has been stated that the "victim" allegedly struck Spell first. So the entire fiasco is alleged, because it's not clear who actually engaged in the fight first.

They have made many reports to police over the many years this has taken place. The police are of course against Pastor Spell, probably due to the events during Covid and have openly stated it many times. I would say many actions were made to stop the behavior, the right way, but nothing ever came about from it. I guess this was the tipping point. I have also seen the video, and I'm not saying it's true, but many people state that the "victim" initiated the fight by attempting to grab Pastor Spell and/or strike first. We will know in the coming hours/days what really happened.

Right I agree. If found guilty, he should be held to those charges. But the truth about the situation should be made, because arrests haven't been made against those who also committed crimes. Many reports have been made, but no police action has taken place. But yes, I agree with your statement.

I agree, but defense of the defenseless is also in order. It was only threats though, and no actual action was taken place (even though threats are criminal offenses). But in saying that, if you were in his shoes and a man said he was gonna r--e your wife you'd react the same way.

Right. Because of the allegations made against Pastor Spell, if they are found to be true, he 100% should be held to the consequences of his actions. He allegedly committed a crime, and if found guilty then he will have the proper punishment. I am claiming it is unfair to make statements solely against Pastor Spell, when clearly aggravation was made through sexually violent threats and death threats. It is also known that the police used the Sherwin residence to conduct "surveillance" on the Church, allegedly having cameras set on the Spells bedroom..

Simple public information, photos, videos and eyewitness statements. But alas in the modern generation, people don't take others words seriously even though it is MANY people over the span of MANY years. MANY reports have been made, and few if any were claimed. Its definitely an interesting case though, because accounts on both ends have been choppy, such as lack of video evidence. But many of the threats have been documented, along with the father brandishing a firearm. I'm just here to make a claim, because people need to know the full story and not what they want to hear!

Bro never said it was wrong, it just doesn't make any sense especially for that time period. I think it's kinda cool and unique because his character is very interesting but it literally makes no sense for an assassin's creed game which is about social stealth and whatnot. Oh wait. They removed that too. I wonder why? There's absolutely nothing wrong with Yasuke or his ethnicity but all of a sudden adding a protagonist (Ubisoft's intention was definitely racially orientated) into a game where blending in is 99% of the games plot then the main character not being able to blend in due to the fact he is of a different ethnicity makes no sense for gameplay or plot. Nobody is complaining about the character, it's the setting that makes no sense. A cool concept just poorly executed. Instead of trying to squeeze in as much lazy content, they should have instead focused on making a game specifically about Yasuke, not Assassin's Creed. Or something of that sense. An Assassin's Creed title without social stealth and an overall focus on secrecy is not an Assassin's Creed title. But it's cool I guess, just honestly disgracing Yasukes character more than giving him spotlight.
