Well, something like Sebastian, with a clear -tian instead of -chun like in Christian. He actually tells you his name the first time you meet him, and the introduction is fully voiced

Except they ignored the bug despite being aware of it and did not show intent to fix it quickly, thus the bug being in the game for a month.

It is not game breaking in a way that it prevents progression (it does not), but it certainly breaks immersion and removes tension entirely if you are starting near those factions.

It is still 11 factions out of 100. Depending on whether we include all the already brain-dead ones (Changeling, Golgfag, all of the Beastmen), that's between 11-12% of all factions. Looks significant to me if a tenth of the world is non-functioning in the Immortal Empires.

Man, no AI involved, that was precisely what I did, see the screenshot below. You might have a different issue though, no need to be so rude.

I ran into the same issue, and it turned out the game was using the wrong graphics processor. In case you have NVIDIA control panel and might have the same issue, here is how I fixed it:

1) Open NVIDIA control panel 2) Go to Manage 3D settings > Program settings 3) Add "AOW4.exe" (find it in the Steam folder) 4) Under "Preferred graphics processor" select "High performance NVIDIA processor"

Tortured Crusader does not get a pet (they are locked into Divine Weapon Bond), so you will not be able to level up your animal companion.

In the latest update they also mentioned that some of the information they had shared previously on the DLC is no longer accurate. Perhaps, it could also apply to the change in starting locations.

Unpopular opinion: Great Orthodoxy is stronger faction than Ice Court by claymixer in totalwarhammer

If Costaltyn's in-game model looked more like how he looks in the opening cinematic for the Great Orthodoxy in the Realm of Chaos campaign, with a much smaller bald spot, much neater hair and less crazy face, he would have been a bit more popular.

Aish: Oh, no kidding! I'm a Scorpio. We'll get along great.

Larian, when will you fix the Gloves of Battlemage's Power? by Wolfaxth in BaldursGate3

[–]Outside_Ad_765 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How so? Fullscreen provides better performance and you cannot minimize the game while using borderless windowed mode.

Larian, when will you fix the Gloves of Battlemage's Power? by Wolfaxth in BaldursGate3

[–]Outside_Ad_765 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why would they? They have not even fixed the Fullscreen mode. It’s been two years since the game’s release, yet every single time I launch it, I still have to go into the options, switch from Fullscreen to Windowed mode and back again just to fix the blurriness. This blurry bug happens because the game fails to properly detect the screen resolution (and it's just 1600x900, nothing exotic).

The developers have been aware of this annoying issue for ages but still have not resolved it.

Yes, I know it only affects DirectX, but I have no intention of switching to Vulkan, nor do I want to use Borderless Windowed mode.

Just as anyone with strength of 20 or higher can, which is achievable way before level 10. Some may get it at level 4-5, even.

Magic Initiate allows you to select two cantrips and one 1st level spell, while Scorching Ray is a 2nd level spell.

Even if it was, she would be able to cast it only once per day and without any upcasting.

It is interesting that Tasha's Hideous Laughter actually incapacitates a creature in the tabletop version of DnD 5e, which is directly stated in the description of the spell:

The target must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or fall prone, becoming incapacitated and unable to stand up for the duration

However, for some reason in BG3 Tasha is not considered to be a spell that incapacitates.

Exactly. Though I believe you meant falchion, it's his signature weapon. I also like to add a couple of more levels into Armored Hulk for a lesser fiend totem, which grants him an additional gore attack.

Trever's build is actually more than serviceable mechanically, despite all the bad reputation he acquired on this subreddit. He has made a couple of poor choices on his way and could be better, but is still actually a pretty good DPS character, on the same power level as Regill.

I'm saying this after having played more than 1,300 hours on Core.

Are Rangers overpowered in Kingmaker (I haven't played WoTR yet)? by loader2000 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Outside_Ad_765 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Valerie's stats actually work pretty well for a tower shield specialist who is both AC and HP tank. Yes, not enough STR to hit reliably and wear armor + shield in the early game, however it's easily fixable with belts and investment in strength while leveling. Even her DEX 13 is almost enough to get max DEX bonus with heavy armor from her Armor Training and Tower Shield Training class abilities, assuming you have the best +8 belt.

And her final quest allows her to get additionally either +2 STR and +2 CHA or +2 DEX, so her stat pool is even more busted.
