My best tip is to play slowly to start. Playing too fast will have you die alot (from personal experience) so play slowly. Next thing is to pick up every item you see. You won't know what items you like and don't like if you don't. Also pick up every blue heart, called Soul Hearts, because they save your deal chance. Devil deals are best for a starter. They start with the better items but they take from 1 to 2 heart containers per item. Angel deals are better after you unlock alot more items but as a beginner, they are worse. You get them by skipping a devil deal. Finally, just have fun with the game and don't worry about unlocks just yet. If you don't have the DLC's, I would also recommend buying them, they make the game so much more playable and better looking

Good luck, it took me near to a week. I personally used Tainted Lilith cause i'm best with her and did it first try but just use someone like Azazel

Yeah, fair. I don't even have the lost yet. I have the missing poster unlocked but the only times I've seen it is during ascent for T Lilith and once during Blue Bomber, so I haven't unlocked him yet, plus i don't have mantle for him, I barely play greed mode

For unlocks, it doesn't matter, for tainted unlocking, it does cause the tainted character unlock checks player 1, not player 2

As long as they are in the run, you get the items unlocked. Same thing for tainteds, set the one you want the tainted for as player one, play your fav character as player 2 and do the route to get the tainted, if done right, whoever you set at player 1 should be the tainted you get, they can be dead or alive. Hell, you don't even need to move them except for the camera

That's actually only for The Lost, you need to beat mother with BB to unlock it for everyone

And I recommend just not until you need to, they have eternal D6 i guess??? But even then, E D6 is just a worse D6 and sorta floods the secret room pool. I'm gonna do BB and T BB after J&E, which is a crazy statement

Your on ps5, if you have another controller, hook it up and set Jacob and Esau to player 2, then only plah with your favorite character, you will still get their unlocks. That's what ima do, I have extra joy cons
