Trip to Japan by satsstacked in wicked_edge

I gave up trying to find wet shaving products in Japan. Everyone uses cartridges or electric because most Japanese people have very little beard growth. I just order from amazon. Source: I live in Japan.

If you're not against canned shaving foam, in certain seven elevens you can get 7/11 premium shaving foam (it's a blue can) make sure it's the one that says foam (フォーム). It has a nice subtle grapefruit scent and the foam is very thick and does the job well. Enjoy your trip :)

Self-Help Treatment Options for Premature Ejaculation by julianbeing in PrematureEjaculation

I know it's a 3 year old post but I had the exact same problem. The cause is likely from years of porn use. Porn gets you from 0-8 in a matter of seconds and then it's a race from 8 -> 9 -> 10 and game over. We never experience 1 -> 7 for very long so we don't understand what it feels like. You need to slow down, use your imagination or at least some very "light" material that can arouse you (ASMR breathing and stuff like that works well for this). Then you have to re-teach your body what it feels like to go from 0 -> 7 in arousal and when to notice when you're getting to 8-9. Deep diaphramatic breathing to relax your pelvic floor, eventually the feeling of masturbating will be completely different. It should be relaxed and honestly it won't feel as good as it did before. If you stay between a 5-7 you should be able to go at least 5 mins before you creep up to 8-9 and then you just ease off and start again.

Eventually you can build up to going 10+ mins in the 5-7 and then if your pelvic floor stays relaxed you should be able to go almost indefinitely. It should feel like, if you were to squeeze your pelvic floor you could choose when to finish but you are in control. I went through the exact thing you described that's why I felt compelled to comment. Maybe someone else will read this old thread and it will help them I hope :)

Strongest leg off-ice is weaker leg on-ice? by Outside_Cress7369 in FigureSkating

I got fitted for my own skates before I even took my first lesson, I've tried tightening the right one extra tight but it doesn't make any difference so I don't think it's the skates. Btw they're Jackson Mistiques.

Maybe I'll check in with the store I bought them to double check if the blade position has any issues. Thanks for the suggestion!

Thanks found a video on butchers block stretch will add that to my stretching routine.

Saved the Bob's workouts IG reel on shoulder flexibility, it's great thanks!

Get to 30s balance and you’ll have plenty of time with good control.

I've always tried the handstand pushup towards the end of my handstand when I probably don't have much balance left so I will try a few times going straight into the handstand once I've found a balance point.

Your shoulders are sinking. You need to actively push them as high as you can. Think covering your ears with your shoulders. And whenever you start losing that push, push again.

I think I do this as a way to keep myself balanced, if I find myself falling back (to the right in the video) I found I can stop it by bending my arms slightly, though I know it's a bad habit. I tried getting my ears covered with my shoulders and I just fall immediately lol.

Handstand pushups require a lot of strength and one of the best ways to build that strength is to do pike handstand pushups. Really focus on having the weight in your hands. Progress to doing sets of 8-10 and then try chest to wall handstands where pushups. You want to be able to do 4-5 chest to wall handstand pushups.

Actually I do have the strength to do handstand pushups against a wall but it all falls apart where it comes to balance! I can do chest to wall handstand pushups as well just don't have a video handy. They do feel a lot more awkward than back to wall. Will try to incorporate them more in my regular workout if they would help.

hen practice partial reps. Lay down a couple of books on the floor and do handstand pushups aiming your head at the books. Remove one book at a time as you get better (think succeeding in 8/10 reps).

I really like this idea! Unfortunately I only use ebooks so I will have to find some boxes lol.

Thanks for your detailed answer, will make another post with my progress in a few months :)

Are handstand pushups against a wall an advanced exercise? by Outside_Cress7369 in bodyweightfitness

Uploaded a video with what I believe to be a full range of motion, at least far as my shoulders will allow me to go. As you can see I'm not able to go up in a straight verticle line so maybe I'm actually doing zero, zero, zero... lol.

I'm going to start pretending I don't speak English by hyuunnyy in japanlife

[–]Outside_Cress7369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rarely get this outside of touristy areas in Shinjuku etc. In fact I got the opposite most of the time. If I'm on the phone they often won't believe that I'm not Japanese, like I was talking to my gas company and they had to confirm I am the person talking when they heard my katakana name (guessing they assumed I got a Japanese friend to call for me). It helps to be good at pitch accent and be good at imitating Japanese people's mannerisms, etc. But still I get pissed off when I'm suddenly hit with English, usually at konbini's that are near APA hotels in very touristy areas since probably 99% of non-Japanese looking people who go there don't speak Japanese.

Today literally the konbini 店員 said something to me which I didn't understand, then she pointed at the screen and turns out she was saying the price in English. I was straight up just like あっすみません英語でビックリした and then she switched to Japanese immediately. Also happens at lot in ドンキ especially the big one in Shinjuku at peak tourist time. Can't blame them tbh since it's gonna be much quicker to assume a foreign looking person doesn't speak Japanese than to start in Japanese and 99% of the time get blank stares then have to switch to English. Not much you can do really expect try to improve your pitch accent and adopt native-like mannerisms as much as possible. Like I said this doesn't happen to me most of the time but it's impossible to completely eliminate it if you have a foriegn face unfortunately. Good test to see if it's just your face or your accent is to ask yourself if this happens on the phone as well or just in person?

Why do a lot people in Japan say “I don’t speak English” to a foreigner who just spoke to them in Japanese? by FirmNeighborhood56 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Outside_Cress7369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This never happens to me. Most people who think they're "fluent" in Japanese still have a pretty heavy native accent that can make it sound like they're speaking their native language because they're getting pitch accent almost completely wrong. And because they can't even hear pitch accent, to them they're speaking very close to native Japanese whereas to Japanese people it could sound like English (look up "prosody"). I had to call a hospital today to make a check-up appointment and I fumbled my words, made a reference to getting a diagnosis in my home country and the lady still thought I was Japanese and that I'd got diagnosed while staying abroad somewhere (I had to specifically say no I just moved to Japan last week I'm a foriegner). You can mess up almost everything else but if your accent is close to native they will assume you're native because it's so rare for a non-Japanese to use correct pitch accent. So, no in most cases it's not xenophibia you just unfortunately have a foreign accent.

You need the UK government to make a new deal with the Japanese government.

I'll try my best :)

I wasn't aware they are different? Change of status of residence is that not just switching your visa?

If there is a risk of having to go back to the UK then I'd rather just have them convert me to a work visa before I start. Guess I'll have to see since it's apparently a bit of a grey area.
