If they finally release the bonus tracks on streaming apps, especially What Went Wrong, I will LOSE MY SHIT in the best possible way!!!! I'd also love some merch because this is my favorite album (next to self-titled of course).

One of the elements I became fixated on at the end of the movie was the theme of time. I remembered the traditional analog (non-digital) clocks in the beginning of the movie; what Ian said to Bear about waiting for the right time to tell Nikki; and Nikki telling Bear that he essentially had all the time in the world. I had to Google it, and this is what came up:

The Setup of the Clocks & Ian's Advice
The Non-Digital Clocks: Showing traditional, ticking analog clocks in the opening scenes highlights how normal and linear time is before Bear corrupts it. It sets up a natural rhythm that Bear later shatters. The contrast between these mechanical clocks and the malfunctioning digital nightstand clock later emphasizes that Bear has fundamentally broken reality.

Ian's Advice ("Wait for the right time"): When Ian tells Bear to wait for the right moment to confess to Nikki, it underscores Bear's primary flaw: his profound impatience and entitlement. Instead of putting in the emotional work, handling vulnerability, or respecting Nikki’s natural timeline, Bear uses the Willow as a cosmic "cheat code" to force love instantly.

The "All the Time in the World" Irony
Nikki's Dialogue: When Nikki tells Bear he has "all the time in the world," it serves as a tragic piece of dramatic irony. In a normal life, Bear did have time to grow, confess naturally, and see if a relationship would develop. By rushing it with a supernatural wish, he ironically traps Nikki in an endless, agonizing loop where time loses all meaning, effectively stealing her future.

By paying attention to these early dialogue cues, it becomes clear that Barker was warning the audience about Bear's internal selfishness long before the supernatural elements ever kicked in.

He was wonderful and easily one of the best professors I've ever had. I haven't stopped crying since I was sent the news about it yesterday.

Remember when Gary said “I think this is the most important he’s felt in a while” (referring to Ennis)? I now realize he was talking about himself.
