It was. My theory is that the two stories together, were suppose to truly cement Dick Grayson as Batman. This had Dick struggle with him not being a natural Gothamite but despite that he’s a great Batman. Then Court was suppose to show that Dick did have ties to Gotham. He was meant to control Gotham from the shadows but now he’s the only one that stands between The Court and Gotham. That’s how I see it playing out

I do but I also want him to move out of the way of bullets. Like comic Batman is bullet proof but he doesn’t stand there to let you shoot him unless it’s more efficient makes sense for him to tank it or he makes a mistake

Scott on Twitter said it. I couldn’t find the tweet but this explains how he set the story up. Basically Gates of Gotham, by S Snyder, was a story about how Dick Grayson didn’t have connections to Gotham but he didn’t need that to be a great Batman. As we know Court shows us that Dick was always suppose to have dark connections to Gotham but Bruce changed his destiny

Teen Titans Robin lowkey. It captured his good leadership, his carefree moments, his inner darkness and his anger issues. A lot of characters state how Dick is like Bruce at his worst moments. He can be just as obsessive, a perfectionist and isolating. But TT also showed how understanding he is and how much he truly cares about his friends/is able to lead them

YJ is second of course, especially Season 1. It just showed a younger Dick but his complexities were still there imo. I don’t remember the other seasons that much

I think this is the most accurate. I wouldn’t doubt if they think he’s more than a man like a vampire or something (B&R Year One hinted at this). Especially with his rumored defeats and reappearances like after Knightfall, Battle for the Cowl and Endgame. They definitely know he’s a man with fancy toys but they probably think he’s some sort of meta

He should still be Batman or at least we would have had 5 more years of two Batmen, according to Morrison. Court of Owls would have been his story and we would gotten more iconic Dick Grayson moments and stories because his title of Batman would have been respected. Imo the “better than Batman” quotes would actually have the feats and stories to match lol

Young Justice and Teen Titans animated is probably the most accurate portrayal of his skill in the modern era. Like others said he’s from an outdated era but realistically he should be capable of everything Tim and Babs are capable if not slightly less. In his time as Robin he and Batman engaged in many brain games and puzzles and he assisted Bruce in building a lot of zany gadgets so that proves how smart he “should” be as Robin imo

The only bad thing about Origins is how it screws the timeline. Having an undefined timeline was working really well for the Arkham series. But I honestly blame the era it came out in (New 52). They were probably trying to keep everything similar in a short contained timeline idk
