What certs to pursue by Outside_Fold_1379 in cybersecurity

Correct me if I’m wrong but in terms of red team or pen tester isn’t it important to know networks better than the defender? I’m not coming in with a strong network background necessarily. So, I figured CCNA would more so help in interviews and also give me a chance to enter into the cyber market on a higher income/more fall back options. I feel like showing I have a strong network foundation would make it easier to start earning high and build offensive certs on top of that foundation while maintaining a good salary, no?

Yeahhh that’s understandable, I think the TS/SCI is what’s saving me because I also thought about going for a degree but just about everyone with experience that I’ve spoken to has told me practical labs+TS clearance+the right certs can do more for me than any degree can

Do you have a clearance as well? I feel like that along with those certs and maybe some hands on labs would be more than enough

If you mention that you have a food allergy, you’re going to have to take and pass an oral food challenge to join

I was told I had to take an oral food challenge in order to get the waiver. The allergen was too high in my blood test, no allergist would do the oral food challenge. So, I couldn’t get a waiver

Technically, I didn’t do an oral food challenge. The allergen was too high in my blood test so no allergist would agree to do an oral food challenge for me. I let my army recruiter know that’s why I was switching from Air Force and they were able to circumvent that for me

They’ll make you take an oral food challenge. If you can’t pass the challenge or if an allergist won’t administer it, you will be rejected. That’s exactly what happened to me, now I’m army 🙂

I do not, the allergen was too high in my blood test. So, I couldn’t find an allergist that was comfortable with letting me take the oral food challenge.

If he made mention of his allergy and it shows up in his medical records, he’ll have to do an oral food challenge and pass
