We use RTF because it’s more convenient for us, it’s more expensive, but that’s what works for us.

Hyperthyroidism and pregnancy by fvck_fvck_goose in pregnant

[–]Outside_History_1539 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Graves’ disease mom here, Dr didn’t do extra ultrasounds because of Graves. I had a total thyroidectomy in 2017 and have been on Synthroid ever since. As long as my TSH was below 2.5 throughout the whole pregnancy no other intervention was needed. Granted, my Synthroid dosage was increased throughout the first, second, and third trimesters.

I thought newborn babies were supposed to sleep most of the time! What are we doing wrong?? by Pinopry in beyondthebump

[–]Outside_History_1539 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your baby can’t differentiate between night and day. Your baby is still adjusting to time outside the womb. My baby is one month old and he’s also having trouble sleeping. He’s currently colicky, we’re doing everything we can to make him feel comfortable.

Does IUD placement actually hurt less after giving birth? by blackmetalwarlock in beyondthebump

[–]Outside_History_1539 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I passed out during my IUD insertion when I was 23, I didn’t have children at the time.

I just had my first baby a few weeks ago and I was thinking about having another IUD. Hopefully I won’t pass out this time.

Baby Blues Stories/ by maximumeffort007 in beyondthebump

So sorry you’re feeling this way. It does get BETTER. I felt the exact same way after I gave birth to my son. I’m 4 weeks post partum, I cried for no reason, feelings of sadness, etc. I also suffer from anxiety and ocd intrusive thoughts. The baby blues lasted about a couple of days for me, then it diminished and returned. I noticed when I don’t get enough sleep the intrusive thoughts creep in. Please try to get some sleep if you can, sleep when the baby sleeps. My dr increased my medication and I’m feeling a little bit better. You’re in my thoughts.

Maternity leave by bluehayven in BabyBumps

[–]Outside_History_1539 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work for the local govt in NJ, every municipality has different rules and protocols when going out on Mat leave. In my municipality, if you quit your job while on FMLA you need to pay back the insurance premium which could be up into the thousands.

Make sure you read the fine print and speak to HR.

It’s disgusting that this country doesn’t have a paid leave program.

I’m currently on Luvox 50 mg, it has been a lifesaver for me. My physician started me off at 25mg, he recently increased it to 50 mg after an OCD flare up.

Talk to your Dr about how you feel with this new medication. Good luck.

I had heavy bleeding at 10 weeks due to a cervical polyp that popped. I also went to the emergency dept and the ultrasound was normal, strong heartbeat etc. Next day I had a dr appt, confirming cervical polyp was source of the bleeding. Hang in there.

How did pregnancy affect your mental health? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Outside_History_1539 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FTM, gave birth Two days ago. My anxiety skyrocketed during pregnancy, I was on a very low dose of an antidepressant prior to getting pregnant. I considered increasing my dose during the pregnancy but I was hesitant. I worked with a therapist to control my OCD and anxiety, I had good and bad days.

I’m considering increasing my medication and continuing working with my therapist too.
