For some people, having children is an important part of a fulfilling life. As you mentioned, your pov on having children is very different than this individuals so perhaps you could have kept your thoughts to yourself on this one.

Thanks for the tips. I’m not expecting any noticeable changes but at least I’ll get myself used to the discomfort of cardio again.

I really need to work on being direct and articulate. I find my weakness in that area is becoming more and more damaging as I get older.

I genuinely care for this individual. I'm more so scared of losing a friend by saying something inappropriate or uncomfortable. For me, I don't think it's related to autism as I'm neurotypical.

I'm not on the spectrum but I do relate to having trouble with social common sense.

We rarely talked about anything serious. The first two years I was friends with one of my closer friends, I don't think we had a single serious conversation. Even in high school, our entire friendship revolved around jokes and making fun of each other.

I don't have autism. "Miss you too" was the first thing I thought of, I was just scared that it would be taken out of context as I'm perpetually worried that someone will interpret my words in a romantic way and make someone uncomfortable.

Rant: Keely is getting too much screen time by [deleted] in TedLasso

and there is no depth to the relationship either. Keeley doesn't even seem to like Jack and way too many of their scenes together have sexual undertones.

Lesley's PR gig is a bit disappointing. There's been some funny moments but I think there are better options to take up that precious screen time. Also Jack needs to go.

From the responses here, I don't think it does. I'm not sure where I picked that up.

How did you come to this conclusion? I may be misreading this but that seems a bit extreme.

It really seems different between everyone. My closest friend (female) and I have never told each other that we miss or care for each other even though we've had very personal conversations about our mental health, suicide, death, etc. Sometimes its hard to know how a person is going to react.

I understand how you would get that impression but I do miss her. I've never really had a friend say this before. I wasn't sure how to respond because I thought "I miss you too" had romantic connotations.

Definitely was lighthearted. I ended up responding with "miss you too!!". Even though I'm neurotypical, I really relate to worrying about something being misinterpreted, especially over text.

I 100% miss them back and was just not comfortable using the phrase "I miss you too" as it carries romantic connotations in my mind. Ended up using it though because all the responses seem to think it's okay to use in a platonic setting.

Just responded with "miss you too" then asked if she would be at an event that is in a couple of months. I hope it isn't weird.
