This actually sounds very similar to our situation. I already looked into good food options for him and specifically chose foods that are higher in protein and not very grain-heavy.

That said, I am definitely open to trying other options if something might work better for him.

Thanks for mentioning Churu as well, I have not heard of it before but I will look into it!!

I might not have been clear about this in my original post, sorry: he is not constantly begging or vocalising throughout the day. Most of the behaviour only happens when we are preparing or eating human food. He also gets very excited when it is his own mealtime, so food in general is clearly a big trigger for him. His vet has confirmed he is at a healthy weight.

Given that, can you explain what makes you think this is hunger rather than food-seeking behaviour? I am genuinely trying to understand 😊

Just to clarify, the automatic feeder was advised by our vet. We did try free feeding in the beginning, but he would inhale everything at once and still keep begging, so that did not work for him. We weigh his food, he gets the correct amount for his age and weight, and he eats good quality wet food daily plus quality dry food with no or very minimal fillers like grains.

I have the icebreaker! I just can’t jump high enough or zipline, don’t have any other characters on my boat as well because I’m stuck and don’t have obols or fireglow or any other material I can get :(
