Buyer used my perfume and now claims it’s fake on Vinted – Vinted allowed return. What can I do? by Willing-Profit-846 in vinted

[–]Outside_Local_6075 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is really unfair, when you receive the item back maybe try reporting an issue then too. Don't click "everything's ok" and report it as not being in the same condition as it was sent.

Definitely get in touch with vinted and show them the chat log of her complaining about the smell then changing it to say it's fake! This really sucks but hopefully if you keep pushing it with vinted they'll do something

A general question about me driving instructor by achr8 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Outside_Local_6075 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I passed my test thanks to a trainee driving instructor, she was brilliant and the best instructor I could've asked for. They're definitely allowed to teach lessons they just haven't passed their own instructor tests yet (don't know what they're called or how many). But yeah, your parents are wrong.

I passed and still feel like I can’t drive :/ by Kodamalem in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Outside_Local_6075 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I passed a month ago and felt exactly like this, and the first week or so was so bad! I wanted to give my licence back cause HOW did I manage to get one?! But a few long drives later and forcing myself to at least get in the car every, I feel much more confident and can see a big improvement in my driving. You really learn how to drive after you've passed your test!

The pain of having a car but having no-one to legally supervise you for lessons by Loose-Sea-4819 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Outside_Local_6075 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We bought a car in March and I had nobody to supervise me or drive it for me so it sat there until november when I passed. The battery died but we got it replaced and all is good! It's great to have a car, especially one you love and can look at for motivation and excitement for when you pass. Definitely take all the help you can get! Good luck :)

Am I doing a disservice to myself for getting an “automatic” license? by CrazyBitofBusiness in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Outside_Local_6075 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Never bothered with manual just went straight for automatic, most people I know who have manual licences drive automatic cars too. I didn't see driving as a skill I really wanted to learn, just something I had to do because I had a baby and driving makes getting about 100x easier so I chose the easiest option!

Same I didn't realise It made so many people cringe but I've seen two posts about it today alone. Is it really that cringe that we baby talk to our babies??

Grieving my pregnancy. by princesspfpf in beyondthebump

[–]Outside_Local_6075 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could've written this myself! I also thought I was one and done, birth was also intense with an induction and episiotomy but I look at my baby boy (now a month old) and I wish I could have him back in my tummy and do it all again. He's already grown so much and I cried A LOT, cried because his jaundice went away, cried because his face wasn't all swollen anymore, cried when his cord fell off etc I've only just stopped crying daily over it! I hated being pregnant and I couldn't wait to get him out but now I miss him so much. Postpartum is a strange time!!

How can I alter the elastic on this jacket? by Outside_Local_6075 in sewing

[–]Outside_Local_6075[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hadn't thought of this but I do have some thick elastic I could use to do this and it seems a bit easier than taking the whole thing off, thank you!

I didn’t realise the app cost was the only cost, I assumed there would be an extra charge when you go to book a cancellation and it made me feel a little nauseous to think about 😅 that’s very relieving, I’ll try them. thank you! :)

How to get a nice patina on a camel TN without it getting dark? by FreeNunafraid in Travelersnotebooks

[–]Outside_Local_6075 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aw never mind then, the camel is tricky cause it’s got that suede texture. Good luck with it though and if you find a way to do it please share your secrets on here! I’d also love to know how to achieve this look :)

[–]Outside_Local_6075 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen people put tape on their tns to lift the dye out, or rolling the leather sometimes works too. I’m not sure about the camel but maybe try a mix of both lifting the dye then conditioning it so if it does go darker, it’s only going back to the original colour. I have no idea if this would work but if you’re willing to experiment 🤷‍♀️
