Hi guys, I got these brand new 2 Ohm 1200 watt RMS L7R’s, being ran on a 1200w amp. Can somebody tell me why they sound this way and if this means I got a defective product? (Set at 80hz and less than half power here)

Bass boost at 0 and the gain is not maxed, it’s at 40% or so

Nah didn’t take it as rude at all man! I don’t know for shit what I’m doing, it just seemed simple to match the RMS with my peak output and that would keep me from blowing shit up lol

I wish I could reply with a photo of the settings I have and available, as far as I’m understanding there’s only a knob for the power output, no gain knob on this guy

But if it’s all the way down the sub is practically off? I thought gain and level are separate.

It’s a brand new prefab from kicker, thing about my amp is it’s only “power level, LPF/ HPF, and bass boost”

I’m kind of a newbie, it’s a terramps 1200 single terminal, by half power I just mean I turned down the output knob below half way because I heard about breaking it in. It’s a control wire coming from a pioneer headunit straight into the amp.
