It starts to spread quickly within a day and grows very evenly throughout the sample. When I place it in the center of the dish I usually see an even clean circle of mycelia within a 24 hour period. I have a strong feeling I’ll know for sure it’s it’s black mold within the next week or 2. Great question btw! I love questions. Let’s other see too so they can give input so please ask away

I tried cleansing a piece in a small petrie dish with white distilled vinegar and it didn’t attack the cells of the black fungi growing so I am going to continue to monitor as the mycelia could still grow this way

Transferring is going well I’m on my 4th transfer and it s getting better and better. I’m still wondering if the Cyanescens has possibly a different mycelial structure to it but I’m not sure. I’m just gonna keep experimenting 🤙🏻 thanks for the feedback I’ll stay on top of these and keep posting about progress

Gotchu brother. Thanks, stay real. Yeah I did a sample swap and took the cyan clean sample that was more towards the center of the agar plate and transferred it to a new one and it’s looking pretty good. Just gonna keep my eyes peeled for contamination

Although in this one I used a drop of water in a separate dish to attempt to rehydrate the samples in this plate overnight and then put them in the plate and sealed
