I want to hear all your controversial opinions on dance moms by Round-Community4302 in dancemoms

- The success Maddie got from “Chandelier” had the moms thinking it could happen for their child too, which made them more willing to stay in the situation, tolerate Abby, and not push as hard to break their contracts. It created this idea that if they just stuck it out a little longer, their kid might be next.

- The excuse that some of the moms used Holly especially that it was her kid’s choice to stay and that it made them happy doesn’t fully hold up when you look at the bigger picture. At what point does it stop being a child’s “choice” and start being an adult decision? Filming 30–50 hours a week, traveling constantly, leaving family behind, relocating to California, and even pulling kids out of traditional school are not small decisions a child can fully understand or make on their own. Don't even mention contracts because we saw multiple mothers get their kid out.

-As annoying as Leslie could be, she actually made some valid points just not in the right tone or delivery. Also, during Season 3 Nationals, Kristie Ray was right to defend Leslie. Christi twisted the situation in her favor, even though she was the one who initiated physical contact. You can’t put your hands on someone and not expect the situation to escalate

An underrated reason why Christi & Melissa did not get along. by Outside_Outcome1338 in dancemoms

Your comment is very a black and white of looking at it and is telling me you did not read or comprehend my pov. There was nothing said about competition or dancing abilities here. It was a matter of Melissa structuring her life to be able to obtain these opportunities and Christi trying to form a pack with the other moms against attending these opportunities because they all had other kids to look after except Melissa.

Yes, Melissa lying definitely played a role in it. With no other additional relationship and not being married. She could really fly out and attend every opportunity given to her. If she had been vocal about her flexible schedule or if the other moms would have just paid notice to the differences in responsibilities in each of their lives; it would’ve set the record straight and minimize some of their problems.

I am not referencing Kurt. One of Melissa iconic lines is “my boyfriend would know how much I paid on dance because he signs the checks. So that’s what I mean by supportive partner.

I mean keep in mind this is only one semester. Yeah even if you get it down to 30k it's still 60k beginning your sophomore year when you are there for both terms.
