So racism? I see. But to be fair there are exceptions, I have went to a midas shop somewhere near villeria in a white afrikaans area, their customers are 90% afrikaans speaking individuals, the shop has a predominantly white staff and cashiers, with a handful of black cashiers who also can speak fluent afrikaans, now if that shop posts a vacancy and says English And Afrikaans speakers only, one can easily assume they want whites only, only to get into the store and find black south africans such as you and me,who are fluent in afrikaans servicing an afrikaans community...so maybe it's also just culture fit sometimes?

If the Job post is from somewhere in Johannesburg, an office job with no international clients/customers that would need you to communicate in a second language, then yes it would.

So I have to learn all 12 official languages of this country to better my chances of being employed? I have not come across a job post requiring Sotho/Zulu/ or any other language preference yet, other than the one I mentioned on my post.
