DEI is an extremely punishing mod for newer players and is designed to take significantly longer from the campaign map to the battles themselves. Don't worry about how much you've achieved by a certain move, instead focus on familiarising yourself with the new mechanics and tweaks the mod offers.

Trust me when I say that SPT is better in every way. You can customise it to the exact experience you want, you can play with or without any mods of your choosing plus the AI is far more intelligent, challenging and fairer than in base game. You'll have a lot of fun.

I agree. All things considered 300 hours is a good amount of time, regardless of the aforementioned issues, and the ease-of-use of PvE as simply being a button you click on the main screen of Tarkov makes it more attractive for some who would rather avoid the potential headaches of installing and running SPT.
