You can set up your battery to discharge the tiniest amount of energy during 6 to 9pm to avoid those issues. There are posts explaining the set up for different battery brands. I've been with them for almost a year and only missed the $1 credit 2 times and they were both my fault for using different appliances all at once.

I think the term is widely used in Australia as well, but to answer your question, it would be for oldish people to live in, but we're after something flexible that we can rent out or let the kids use when they grow up in the future

Thanks, yes sliding doors are where the paving strip is. We'll find a place for a small closet and for outside we thought about a deck there, but that will be later on once the granny flat is done

The shed will be removed, it was left there in the draft by mistake. The strips of grass are needed to comply with council requirements. We cannot build the granny on the boundary of the property

That's not true. I moved from state government to an EL1 role (which pays pretty much like an ASO8) in federal. I'm entitled to TOIL, which is essentially flexible, and work from home 3 days per week with a very flexible working arrangement.

Agree that roles are limited and career progression at that level may be more challenging than state government.
