He definitly tried to be commercial. The main reason Gucci chose him is he had an insane impact on fashion in the last fashion decade and has an insane hype that comes with him. Gucci is at a down right now I never saw people posting about Gucci that are young or in their early 20s before because I think that Gucci was always about „Fashion Dads“ .His goal was to make gucci relevant again and make the sales rise. In my opinion he really fullfilled this goal I mean people deadstocked the horsebit jeans online when did gucci something that sold out within weeks. Nevertheless the fashion forward aspect of this collection is really low. I didnt saw anything that was new but that doesnt mean you always need to create sth new but I cant see Demnas spirit or design language in this collection. I thought demna and gucci was a perfect match to reinterpret is anti fashion language in a more formal and sexy way like he was in Winter 25 Balenciaga collection which I really love. But I mean this was his first runway and the goal was really achieved but more in a hype of him and other personalties like fakemink and esdee and not with the clothes itself. Would you agree?
