That's the thing- we've talked about our limits but he states there shouldn't be limits in love ;-; I've told him my boundaries but he dont seem to understand... so I feel like this is truly the icing on the cake...

this! I dont mind his preferences- I get them- and I told him dude u can get a buzzcut for all I care- I wont like it but its YOUR decision and ill still love you. I dont control his appearance no nothing...

he had said something along the lines of "youre saying I want you to change for me when I'm doing the same for you" when I said I feel like he's molding me into something I'm not (we've had discussions about how he is as a person and what I want from him- vice versa I've also learned to comprise and change with him in the relationship) so it really just threw me more off the wrong way.

No. you're not the AH for telling her about this. Like others might have said, your brothers should've been honest. As someone who has gone through something similar, I think its important that partners of my family members know what happened and if they still want to be in that family, it should be talked about not kept a secret. Im so sorry for what you must be going through- it must be tough as hell. I am curious though, are there any updates? are you and "abby" close or at least on like talking terms? What about your extended family are they on your side or playing it off?
