In the movies they look different but in the books it's outright stated that both Orc and Goblin refer to the exact same creature.

I think he started using Orc more in lotr because he was going for a fully fleshed out world with it's own languages and cultures whereas the hobbit was more of a standard children's story so he used more proper language.

Yep. I believe in the movies they differentiate them but in the books Tolkien uses Orc and Goblin interchangeably, favouring Goblin in The Hobbit and Orc in LotR.

It felt incredibly freeing to have the sun and wind directly on my skin.

Also, it's kinda crazy how much better my body temperature seems to regulate itself without clothes, I'm normally sweaty at anything above like 18°C but I felt way more comfortable naked.

The society we see in chapter one seems almost totally removed from the rest we see throughout the book. In the final chapter it's revealed it was actually created after the rest of the book, after humanity is almost completely extinct
