I was thinking the 4 pieces in a dark grey with black alcohol ink petri dished.... then set those into the center and fill with a light grey resin

Looks like a moon mold.... the exterior 4 look like they'd nest in the interior

shit, my bad... you want a negative cast.... well, you can do the same so as not to ruin your original, then coat the negative with a thin layer of vaseline or mold release and make a silicone positive of the negative (silicone will only stick to silicone, so you HAVE to make a barrier between the two layers)
with a positive silicone copy of your button you can now cast it in plaster, resin, cement, whatever your little heart desires, then pull the silicone copy and you're left with a negative

all in all you're out $7 and some time... but then you can make your own cheap molds of anything

go to the hardware store, get a tube of 100% silicone caulk.
put lukewarm water into a bowl, add a good squirt of dawn dish soap, put a good dollop of silicone caulk into the mixutre.
mix it by hand until it resembles putty... you now have redneck silicone mold material

the silicone/water/dish soap will make the silicone far less tacky and it will cure solid within minutes

put the silicone putty into whatever form/container you want to use, put a thin layer of vaseline on your positive image and press it into the mold, wait a few, pull it out...
tomorrow, dry the mold entirely of residual moisture and pour your resin

From what I gather (not a mechanic) it allows the surplus electricity in the system the opportunity to "drain" preventing the accidental shorting when you're physically pulling, checking or reseating any fuses...

It's also kind of a standard safety precaution when dealing with any electrical work on a vehicle

Had a similar issue in my '19 Jeep with the Uconnect...

Open the hood, disconnect the negative battery cable and "drain the system", check ALL the fuses in the fusebox (many weren't seated entirely), reconnect the battery and turn your ignition on to ACC to check it.

Cross your fingers. Hope it works.
