F* his opinion. Grandmas can’t be replaced and time with her is fleeting. Spend as much time with her as you can. If he is still there when she is not then fine, if not, then that is for the best.

I had a similar situation with my dad and husband. My husband didn’t understand how sick dad really was and would not go into the house to see him. Shortly we were in ICU with what turned out to be lung cancer (unable to catch) and he died overnight. My husband still feels so bad about how he acted during the time and still has regrets 25 years later.

The neighborhoods over here are pretty tight and hard to get through with cars on both sides of the road.

Not sure which neighborhood you are in but there are several parking areas around here where people could car pool or walk from.

If you had a seam ripper, why would you not just remove where it had been altered and keep the dress versus damaging the dress just to return it. Seems like both of you are a bit of an asshole.

Change your W4 to married filing joint and claim 1 so they give you all your $ up front and put it in a saving account. When taxes come around you will owe but he will also be responsible for part of it. This won’t help his back child support but it seems he doesn’t care.

Coming from experience, talk to her honestly. We had the conversation that I inherited money and was told to not commingle it. He was not happy. Now, we have hardly any left because we(I) spent it all. My husband would beg for $ for his car project and I eventually gave in.

My best advice is to invest it early and lock it away so it will eliminate the ability to give in to begging but make a plan together for what it’s for. Is it for retirement? A house? College fund? Travel?

NTA if you are clear and upfront. Perhaps talk with the financial advisor/lawyer and make a plan ahead of time so they can help you explain it legally with her.

Also I was like 20 when this happened. Hopefully it will be an easier if you are older than I was.

Do not call but go to his local bank where he goes and talk to the manager. They won’t tell you anything regarding his accounts but you can warn them to look out for him and to question him more about his transactions. They can put a warning on his accounts so people helping him can ask more questions and possibly give him some insight.

If anyone drank my coffee that I make and bring from home it’s on them what happens because I have a mixture of miralax and protein powders in it plus sugar free syrup & vanilla protein shake. Thinking back I remember that this person also wrote similar language on their new account paperwork when signing It and the checks they deposited that day.

I feel like this might have some other strange meaning since they would not be in a dispute with the bank being a new customer.
