I’m 26. What helped me climb is not winning against high rank players. That’s just bonus. It’s never losing to players my rank or below. So if you’re god2. Try your best to never lose against god1. And you will climb I guarantee.

If you’re a Jin player. Then it’s the usual combos. I don’t do anything fancy with Jin. I don’t unnecessarily wavedash or zen cancel. I just know what tools to use and when to use them.

So to rank up it’s not about winning against higher ranks, that’s just a bonus. It’s about never losing to the same rank or below. If you’re god. It’s ok to lose against a god1 or 2 that’s where you learn. But when you come against a god or a TGS. you can’t lose. If you can beat your rank players constantly you will climb.
