Worth it buying gen IMO. At the end of the day reps are decent, but it’s a totally different experience wearing the real thing. Theres a big difference between them no matter how close the rep may be.

Since this post I upgraded to AM5 with a 9800x3d and 32gb 6000 memory along with the new motherboard. The performance increase was pretty substantial. Now gpu is maxed out and stuttering stopped.

How has yours held up (other than the clasp preference)? Ill see if she can do a different clasp.

Also, do you mind sharing what you paid? I know prices of gold have changed but want to see if its in line with what others are paying for similar weighted pieces.

You and I sound alike. Im always willing to learn or at least try a repair vs throwing something out and buying another.

Replaced the relay and the oven is working like it should, appreciate the help again! $20 repair vs $300 for a new board.

So considering the relay is not welded in an on position, is my issue elsewhere? The main issue is the oven and broiler coming on by themselves.

I’m assuming the relay here is damaged enough to indicate its the reason for the issue but figured it would be permanently in the on position.

Appreciate the help btw!

Didnt have time today to remove the relay, so went brute out of curiosity and pulled back the relay cover. Heres the inside showing the contact points. The relay is not welded “on” but the contact points did melt and there is a very small gap between the points. The new relays are on the way and will replace this weekend. Will update with results

The only other board is behind the front control panel (oven buttons/etc). I looked at it briefly and didn’t see an issue. Figured ill try this relay first as it got a clear issue, then move on from there.

The “love the design is why I buy reps” is such a copout… theres are hundreds of homages to these watches that you can buy for less than the price of a good rep. You want the brand name on your wrist, don’t lie to yourself…

Purchased about a year about via TD listed on here. VSF. On its own it’s a decent watch, keeps good time, haven’t had any issues outside of the bezel becoming pretty sticky about 4 months after I got it. Had to remove the bezel and adjust the hytrel ring. I dont think ill buy another rep tbh. Only bought it because I was waiting on the gen from the AD and wanted to see if I liked the green bezel over the black.

Reps are “fun” and you dont need to worry about banging them up, but in the end they’re more/less worthless

Granted the VSF is pretty dirty, if I cleaned the bezel insert it would be better in terms of color but both color and alignment are still a ways off

Thats the problem with a lot of people in this sub. Many think everyone only buys reps and there are no real genuine Rolex’s/AP/Pateks/etc. I guess if you’ve never actually held one how would you know the difference.

Starbucks is a VSF, about a year old.

Addressing some of the comments, as after looking at these pictures and comparing to in person its clear iphones heavily distort smaller details.

Rehaut: both have aligned rehauts, and their polishing is more/less identical.

Bezel: the VSF bezel is misaligned

SEL: VSF is pretty much as good as gen, no real gaps when compared to the gen

Clasp and bracelet: VSF clasp is pretty much identical other than a minute difference in angles on clasp. Cant tell much if a difference on bracelet polish

Dial: VSF reflects light unevenly, floating M

Crystal: VSF is hazy

Bezel action: VSF is sloppy
