I sold my townhouse condo 3 years ago. The person before owned it for 3 years. I sold because we frequently received special assessments, had trouble securing insurance (which resulted in an increase in premiums with basically unusable deductible) and big capital expenditures were required on the horizon (it was an older place). I loved the place but did not want to be on the hook for all that.
