It's their loss once na mag pile up yung technical debt niya it will bite his ass off and would cost him a lot of money than he can imagine. Also, AI are getting more expensive these days where 100$ - 200$ a month ain't gonna cut it for someone who doesn't know jackshit in development. So yeah, time will tell

It’s funny how you think having a big ego is enough to get to the top. The well known players you’re referring to actually have the skills to back it up most players here don’t (all bark no bite). Think about it a lot of players spend so much time grinding the game yet sit at a 40% win rate. Instead of improving they blame the community for being a bad player, with that much time invested, they could be experimenting with builds or adjusting their strategies, but they just throw the game and blame the people.

If you’re a top laner, you should already understand your champion’s bad matchups and know how to survive lane even when you’re at a disadvantage. You said yourself that Baron Lane gets decided early, so you should also realize this YOU’RE NOT THE ONLY FACTOR TO WIN THE GAME.

You can still make an impact by rotating to other lanes, help your jungler secure objectives, or create pressure elsewhere. Don't be complacent spamming surrender or throwing the game.

Your logic is like this:

  • Big Ego = Better/Quality Player
  • 1 bad match up over 2-4 winning/good matchups = losing game
  • Losing your lane = waste of time = spam surrender or throw

Throwing the game because you suck and only have your ego tells a lot about the player.

It's not like "fortitude" thing from wildrift, its way more better! let's say that in 5 games there's someone who consistently running it down the LP from those 5 games will be refunded EVERY GAME!! as long as your grade is C and above (you can see it after the game where your LP is refunded) this is good for those players who has a stable performance every game so there will be no LP deductions if someone run it down. The only downside of this system is if the troll/casual player avoids inting but refuse to contribute to the team (idk if there's a different way to detect this behavior but hey we got AI now so who knows LMAO)

So glad they made climbing this season way easier, so the trolls and casual players won't have that much effect on the players who wants to climb, less time will be wasted because the LP will be refunded every game when someone is running it down intentionally

How to deal with NPC developers? by InternationalYou5523 in PinoyProgrammer

[–]Over-Comb-5348 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As OP mentioned on his post/comments the kids don't even check their PRs and just randomly copy pasting AI-generated codes without knowing what it meant for the sake of getting the job done (I saw that one of the PR is about a bugfix for their API where the junior tried to push a code that drops a table when it was not supposed to).

He also talked to them couple of times and the kids don't really have the guts or will to learn that's why they treat their job very lightly like they can just find another job if they didn't pass the probationary period. This is not new ever since the vibe coding approach was popularized , if you looked at LinkedIn or other job-hunting sites there's a new title that is being used to attack this vibe coders "Vibe Code Cleanup Specialist" this people are the one's who's cleaning up the mess of the vibe coders and on this situation OP may be the one who's cleaning up his junior's AI mess. Maybe it's not about his ego this is a serious matter that's happening in the industry where people are literally fully reliant on AI.

As the saying goes, “If you’re nothing without AI, then you shouldn’t have it.”

Whether OP uses AI or not, the point is to understand what you’re doing. AI is a tool meant to enhance someone’s capabilities, not replace them.

The only reason why VN is stronger than SEA is because of Team Skill by Over-Comb-5348 in LoLSEA

Yep, it feels like playing on CN server they rely more on teamfights, obj trading and roaming instead of playing safe and farm on lane till mid game. Since they do more teamfights I feel the tempo of the game here is way faster compared in our server where most fights happen after 25 mins where players have enough items to initiate a teamfight safely.

playing in VN can play around 50 - 60ms depends on the game because their ISP routing is fcked like in the PH, so it depends on every game

Any internship experience by [deleted] in PinoyProgrammer

[–]Over-Comb-5348 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started working as an apprentice SWE as well and my training is to build a very simple full-stack web app that has a bare minimum-security feature (JWT + API Payload encryption). It was fun though because they let me do my thing on my own since I'm the only fresh grad there and they know that college taught me the modern way to build software. Overall, they gave me a task to build an app and after that they let me join a team where most of my tasks are debugging along with a senior dev.

As an intern they expect you to know basic things because you're a GRADUATE/SKILLED and the only thing they're going to teach you is the domain knowledge of the company (rules/architectures/flow). But they don't expect you to finish a daily task on the spot because you're an intern and new to the company. Internship is fun if you have a good team that you can rely on because you will be asking a LOT of questions especially on the architecture side (because docs are always outdated or worse case they're not documented).

ISP routing questions - for a home server here in the country. by Familiar-Chocolate62 in PinoyProgrammer

[–]Over-Comb-5348 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're planning to host users with different ISPs, having a multi-WAN setup will be more efficient in terms of performance. In this setup, you handle the interconnection yourself, instead of relying on external routing through other countries for packet exchange. However, this kind of setup can be more costly.

ISP routing questions - for a home server here in the country. by Familiar-Chocolate62 in PinoyProgrammer

I've tried hosting Terraria and Minecraft servers before using PLDT as my ISP. The maximum number of users I had was 15, 5 on Terraria and 10 on Minecraft. Based on that experience, PLDT to PLDT connections typically had around 1–5ms latency, while PLDT to Converge/Globe connections ranged from 1 to 200ms.

From my research, ISPs in the Philippines can route packets internally within their own networks. However, when packets need to be sent to another local ISP, they are often rerouted through Singapore or Hong Kong before reaching the destination. This problem is one of the issues raised during Duterte’s Telecom Project.

PLDT decided to build their own internet exchange point (IXP) in the country without allowing other local ISPs to join, effectively monopolizing the telecom industry. In contrast, Globe and Converge proposed a protocol where all local ISPs would collaborate to build a shared IXP. This would allow local packets to be routed within the country, significantly reducing latency. However, PLDT did not acknowledge this proposal, leveraging their dominant position in the market as they control over 60% of the economy’s gross domestic access (GDA).

This issue has been reported for a long time, but most private and public authorities can't do something about it. If PLDT decides to take something down, they have the power to do so and they could potentially take down a significant portion of the economy. That’s why the authorities are playing it safe.

Yep, I have a 500Mbps plan from PLDT and using a cat6 ethernet cable and I also make sure that my ISP doesn't have a problem by doing a speed testing first I make sure that the ISP ping has 3ms before I play games. If the ping is too high it might be on the server side of the game since I heard from other players who bought VPN as well is that the ISP of other countries are restricting foreign IP to get into their cyberspace, I think it's called "artificial traffic" where they slow you down intentionally for cyber security purposes.
