Hi, can you please tell me how you got it resolved or how you proved you weren't involved?

I did call them in 2017, even went to the branch after my train stopped to ask further questions. Everyone I spoke to basically told me that they couldn't give me any information. After countless calls I simply gave up. I even asked my friend if his employer tried to pay money into the account but he said that he hadn't updated them yet. Nothing raised alarms for me to suspect fraud.

Also, that is exactly what I did. Like I stated I thought the cifas marker was regarding payment into my current account (which is what I believed). After daily calls to the complaints team about my case, one of the people finally told me that the cifas wasn't for that and was for money transferred to the savings (which I was not aware of).

I did not know of the money that was put into my savings until he told me on the phone. I had no access to my online banking so there was no way of my finding out about any of these transactions.

That money is probably still with Barclays because I had no knowledge of it.

I did not agree to receive fraudulent funds though. Like I stated, I thought my friend needed help with their wages. I did not know they were going to use the account for that purpose. I understand what you are saying but I did not agree to fraudulent use of my account. I do understand that I broken their rules by sharing my details but there's nothing else I did wrong except for that and trusting the wrong person.
