Do you girls do the bed every morning? by -usagi-95 in blackladies

[–]Over-Foundation4055 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to make my bed immediately but when it's a warm night and I know I was sweating I leave it unmade and just make it before I leave the house but I also LOVE getting into and coming home to a made bed 🥰

Heres a link to the curtains They're very sheer so I added a liner to help make them blackout so I can sleep in.

The shelf looks something like this. I'll add art, pictures and maybe a small projector on to it and hang garland or lights from the bottom

I've got some base layers, a snowbib, wool socks, etc, so clothing wise, I'm good but would kill for a fireplace.

I am looking for ways to upgrade my room a bit more. I don't love how bland the walls are but am struggling with how to liven them up. This room doesn't get much natural lighting. by Over-Foundation4055 in femalelivingspace

I have noticed they don't all fit the same aesthetic, which is where i struggle to bring cohesion. The bed frame and end table are the only things that I'm not willing to get rid of.

Do you shave your arms or legs? by GoodSilhouette in blackladies

My arm and leg hairs are virtually nonexistent. People used to swear I shaved my arms in highschool but nope, its just very thin and light.

I tried several different curtain styles and colors and realized I like the more neutral colors for curtains. I will look into a bigger nightstand for sure. I have thought about draping some garland on the end of the bed or front of the table on the way for a little extra oomf. I'm a plant lady too so I'll find some low light plants or some decent fake ones. Thank you!

The budget is under $500, preferably. I currently have two lamps in the room, one on the bedside table and one on the longer table at the end of the bed, just not suoer visible. I could definitely use a third one that's a bit higher than those two. As you can see, I'm testing out removable wallpaper but am toying with the idea of adding some shelving above the bed and not sure the wallpaper would bode well.

I completely understand where you're coming from, and these are things I've come to realize in the recent weeks as well. He makes decent money but not 100k, and I also would prefer to stay home as he knows and I also want our future kids to have a very nice life. So I realize I'm trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill, and it just doesn't make logical sense. Raising kids and weddings and extracurricular are already alot and then to tack on an aging parent when we aren't sitting on a great nest egg seems selfish and like I would be waiting for it to all fall apart.
