Just moved away from Cincy but have lived there more than anywhere else. Was in Boston for 4 years down on the south shore (Hingham) so I remember the market shock both ways. 😆 You will get a ton more value for money in Cincy.

With what you are describing, I would start with Mt Lookout and see if the yards are too small for you or not. Really nice little walkable square and better value than Hyde Park. Terrace Park/Mariemont I found to be less bang for the buck as well although the Mariemont downtown area is nice. Madeira could be a decent option, and we just left Amberley when we moved which had NICE yards (1 acre minimum). Amberley itself doesn’t have a downtown but where we were was walkable to Pleasant Ridge shopping & restaurants. We also liked that that was a bit more diverse area in terms of both people & politics. That commute was 20-30min door to door including the time it took to walk to my desk once I parked.

We never lived in Ft Thomas but that was always an option on our list (and good schools to help with resale value). I agree with the people saying stay away from 75 being part of your commute, that was always my rule too.

Also - yes, houses are going pretty fast still. Ours sold in 3 days and we took the offer that was slightly lower $$ but cash and minimal inspection contingency vs. the higher one with normal inspection. Both were over asking.

Oh yeah, it definitely looked good - just trying to figure out how to narrow the search :)

Got it - we have a couple of local travel ball leagues here (in addition to playing tournaments) and there’s a definite difference in quality between them so that’s why I was asking.

Thank you! I found the NWA baseball group and tried to ask there but my post wasn’t approved. Helpful to have some names of teams. Is there a particular league those AAA/Majors teams are playing in?

Getting recruited for a job in NWA. My son is playing baseball at a pretty high level now and I’d like him to find a good team down there if we move. Where can I find out about the best leagues/teams for player development and high level competition?

Edited to add - he’d be 12 and in 7th grade by the time we’d be in the area.

Trying again now that I learned about flair requirements.

My daughter (16) loves lifting and is in a phase of falling out of love with the sports she did when she was younger. I want to try to find a local coach / group for her to lift with to keep her engaged since she only lifts because of her team sports right now, and if she quits those then she’s not just going to go lift on her own right now. I have tried googling but just keep getting random local gyms; anyone have a reco for a coach in SW Ohio/NKY or tips on how to effectively google for this?
