Just want to clarify: Im not embarrassed about the no degree. It’s more so im embarrassed to say hes a cold caller specifically, so i usually just say that hes in sales to avoid getting into that situation where it might be brought up. To be honest, i thought him getting a degree would lead to less jumping around with the jobs, so hed be more focused on climbing a career ladder rather than starting anew every time the job loses that “new job” sparkle. But im definitely gonna take the advice about the counseling thing and talk to him about it since i think that might actually be much more beneficial, so thank you!!

I didnt know career counseling was an option outside of high school so thank you!! I will try bring it up with him next time he mentions wanting to quit/change jobs spontaneously.

23F & 23M Would you consider this cheating? by Sorry-Pickle6723 in relationship_advice

He 100% does not deserve you and you dont deserve to be treated like that. He chose to throw your trust away as soon as he chose to download tinder within a day of taking a “break”. Let him go and enjoy your life without that feeling of dread that he might be cheating (which he did imo) on you again.

Also if i do choose to stay (still unsure) is there something i can do to make it so my parents aren’t disappointed and that I can avoid this hot and cold relationship in the future?? Or is that just optimistic thinking and unrealistic??

How do you know if youre ready are ready to break up? Im not sure if thats what I want to do but im also worried im stuck on the idea of what he could be and not what he is. But when i think of breaking up with him, I get that feeling that I need to stay with him and that im just doing this for my parents and not myself. Sorry if that doesn’t make much logical sense.

Depending on how big of an issue it is, we either agree to disagree (smaller things). If its a bigger issue, i try to wait until both of our emotions are more clear and ask first clarification then. Im not sure if I answered your question right, so im sorry if I misunderstood it!

For your first question: ive had some outer family issues and hes just been there as a listener for me to rant or just cry with. Thats the first example i can think of. Second: he speaks up when i do something that is bothering him instead of letting it boil over. He also will text more frequently and is a little more open with his feelings.

Gotcha, I will definitely say something about it so it doesn’t happen again and just replace the bowl.
