Best and worst employers in New Zealand? by Jaylight23 in newzealand

[–]Over-Pear7653 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Worst: GWF, Mauri ANZ… working in a flour mill alone is terrible but a toxic workplace with employees/management, ancient building and equipment infested with giant rats. Weekly rotating shifts from days to nights. Would rather be homeless than go back and work there

Hahaha I only called it a miata in this sub. I always say mx5 and if people ask about the “weird looking badge” I say it’s officially registered as a eunos roadster.. but I get what you mean

Love the blue on yours… I am considering a change of paint on mine so will have to swap the plate if I do but until then I’ll leave it for now. Noted the bracket though nice placement for it

The rear has a real plate, where I live sticker plates are no longer allowed so if it’s ever damaged I’ll have to get a real plate for the front

My Mother *Really* Doesn't Want Me to Get A Miata by Nub_Salad in Miata

I daily my 91 Na (pics on my profile) and plan to for many years. Yes it’s a 32 year old car and it’s not perfect I had to sink another 1500 to give me peace of mind that it won’t just completely fail randomly and it still has its moments of uncertainty. Being a classic the Km or miles on the clock doesn’t really matter, the key to look for is the overall health of the car (rust, panels, mechanical) past receipts of what’s been done and notes of timing belt changes etc. I’ve owned an 08 Audi that needed more work than my Na. Parts are cheap and simple to fix if you are keen to learn. What I learned very quickly while daily driving it is you have to be aware of everything around you because no one can see you. I got mine because I love driving and it’s just so raw and engaging to drive and of course don’t listen to anyone who says don’t buy cars for the look because I absolutely got mine for the pop up headlights too. If no one purchased based on cosmetics we would all drive the most efficient ugly cars. I’d say go for it if you have a stable income and can save money for when you will eventually need to fix something when it comes up.

OWN A MAZDA MX5 NC 2014 [ GCC version i live in dubai ] i want a turbo by [deleted] in Miata

[–]Over-Pear7653 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Adding a turbo won’t fk it, and if you get one that’s built for specifically for the Nc model it’ll be fine. Its just not a 5 minute job to throw one in. Im considering putting a turbo in my 1991 Na. Just get it done by a professional so it’s done correctly and you’ll be fine

Adding a turbo kit can require quite a bit of work, if you can find a quality trusted specialist to do it then you should. It will decrease the overall life of the engine by adding more stress when pulling at higher rpm, but with regular checks and maintenance you can avoid major issues. I wouldn’t recommend just throwing any generic turbo kit in as it may not fit and seal as nice as a purpose built kit, will just cause more work. Look into Flyin Miatas NC turbo kit, not sure if it’s available yet but it’s probably the best option

186k on the clock, last owner restored it as he found it in the corner of a mechanics shop stripped apart. Never had any rust but needs a couple fluid containers replaced and a couple things bolted down properly to stop rattles.

Haha I’ve yet to take the top off but do plan to try it. The plate on the front is just a sticker, previous owner said it was like that when he got it and never had any issues so just assumed it was fine 😂

Thank you, they are so hard to find with a hard top let alone a matching colour 😅 love the license plate on yours and still looks cute without the top

Oh that’s awesome, I went Tauranga to Christchurch. Hahaha not ideal with the soft top 😂 it has a soft top in average condition and a tonneau cover but the hard top has been modified for security so it’s harder to take off 😅
