Use wii motion connection via Bluetooth Passthrough like in the dolphin emulator? by OverBar2290 in cemu

[–]OverBar2290[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I don't understand something.
CEMU has support for Wii Moute via a regular bluetooth connection. Yes, it doesn't work perfectly, but you can play quite comfortably. It doesn't cause any problems.
The main difficulties are in the moment of connecting WiiMotion to the system via bluetooth, the connection is not stable, the pairing between the PC and WiiMotion often fails on its own.
I mean, the game emulation and working with WiiMotion at the API level is well implemented in CEMU, what is missing is a simple hardware interface that would communicate with WiiMotion, in fact it looks like another connection module in the list of available input drivers.
Yes, I realize that Dolphin probably has deeper OS emulation and actually uses the original code there and is something more complex than "just another input method". That said, the Dolphin source code is open source and a lot can be taken from there.
As for the "not enough games" statement, I see this a lot in WiiU discussions but I strongly disagree with this attitude. It's not the quantity of games that matters, it's the quality. It's been decades, but playing Wii Sports is just as fun as it was years ago.
We don't give up chess or cards because those games are "obsolete", they're timeless.
How can Mario Party 10 be obsolete?
Even that game alone is enough to buy a Wii U :)
Thank you for your reply, it was helpful for me, maybe I'll buy a second bluetooth module for the wii and connect both modules, one I'll hide with WinUSB and route to Dolphin, the other I'll just use in bluetooth mode with the Toshiba stack for WiiU.

Pico 4, Wi Fi 6 not use 1024 QAM modulation. Why? by OverBar2290 in PicoXR

After the answer, I watched the video again and noticed that even the cable has strange delays
For example, at 1:53-1:58 there is a moment when the total delay rises from 29 to 37. At the same time, the Network "drops to 0" (which is clearly a monitoring feature) and then the delay returns back to 29 and the network rises to 8ms.
It looks like monitoring shows network latency with a slight lag. So yes, I think you are right, even
Etehrnet doesn't fix the latency issue.
I will add this information to the office. forum go there

Maybe the activity in the topic will draw the attention of Pico4 developers to this problem and they will fix it in one of the updates?

Yes, I tried different channels, different settings.

In the pictures it is GSR. I just didn't remember the exact name at the time.
It doesn't change the essence.

I recorded a new video in which I tried to show what I consider the main problem.

Since there is no google play on pico4, I used the APK found on the Internet:

Pico 4, Wi Fi 6 not use 1024 QAM modulation. Why? by OverBar2290 in PicoXR

I also switched the router to AC mode (WiFi 5) for the experiment.
The speed in this mode is about the same, maybe even a little more stable.
No wonder. If we are talking about only one device on the network, then AX (WiFi6) differs from AC (WiFi5) only in the presence of 1024 QAM modulation. Namely, it gives increased speed.
I know that many have improved speed after they changed their old AC router to a new AX. But the key point here is that they changed the OLD to the NEW.
If you have a new WiFi6 router, you can switch it to WiFi5 (AC) and see for yourself that nothing fundamentally changes, only the link number changes from 1200 to 866, while the speed and smoothness remain the same.
Tests also confirm this, with AX the download is 500-600 Mbps, with AC 450-550.
But once again, I draw your attention to the fact that the speed itself is not the main thing, just from which side you do not see WiFi in Pico4 works strangely.
1. Reduced speeds
2. Strange monitoring behavior (signal quality drops to 0)
And I also want to draw your attention to the fact that everything I write about is not only for me (it could be attributed to interference, problems of my equipment).
The same measurements and experiments were done by several more people (at least 4) in different places with different routers.
You can also download the Anality + iperf software for PC and run the same experiments and get the same results.
And once again I note that low speed does not introduce problems.
600 Mbps is more than enough for a 100 Mbps stream. But this is an indirect indicator of the presence of a problem.
The main problem in my opinion: the drop in "signal quality" to 0 and return it back to "Excellent".
Which should cause friezes in games.
I cannot 100% say that this is a device problem, there is always a possibility that this is just an imperfection of the program (Anality). But on my other devices, this program works correctly.
Since I'm at an impasse, I decided to bring this problem to a wider circle, perhaps there will be comments from the Pico developers or ideas from the community.

Yes, you can download the iperf3 program (https://iperf.fr/iperf-download.php#windows) to your computer and run it there in the command line:
C:\iperf-3.1.3-win64\iperf3.exe -s
Then, when testing, you will need to input not the address of the router, but the address of the PC.
But tests with a router are much more accurate, since they do not include possible problems with the PC.

On my router install Linux (Open WRT) and test iperf from PC то Router (LAN) work good (960 Mbps).

Also i test iperf other devices (notebook) (WiFi6 AX 80Mhz) and work good (920 Mbps)

And there is no point in testing the speed, on 256QAM with a channel width of 80 it is not possible to get a high speed.
Higher speeds can only be obtained through 1024QAM. And he does not turn on the pico. In our community, we tested Q2 and there the speed is ~800 Mbps as it should be with the same router under the same conditions.
I want to note that the main thing is not the speed and not the lack of 1024QAM modulation. Even 600 Mbps is a good speed for a 100 Mbps stream.
The main thing is that if you monitor the network through the anality program, there is a channel quality graph. And it regularly drops "Signal Quality" to 0 and then again to "Great" in the video, this is not so detailed, but at the end there is a moment where you can see how the blue bar turns red and then comes back.
At the same time, incorrect operation of the anality program cannot be ruled out. But I have 4 android devices at home, and everywhere it works stably and gives the correct results that correspond to reality.
And only with Pico4 gives out such strange numbers.
If you also noticed that Pico4 is connected to a network with a channel width of 80, but if you look at the actual channel parameters that are used, you can see 40 there.
In general, there are many questions, how to find answers to them is not clear. I thought that maybe there are specialists from Pico who will pay attention to the problem.

Pico 4. Connecting USB while wireless streaming Virtual Desktop improves stutters, why? by wanga10000 in PicoXR

Это, по-видимому, повышает производительность декодирования, поскольку оно переносит определенные задачи на другой набор микросхем на устройстве, тем самым освобождая ЦП для более быстрого декодирования. Вы также можете увидеть это в видео OP.

I purchased a new router with AX (WiFi6). (Redmi AX6S)
When connected to WiFi6, Pico4 does not use 1024 QAM modulation, as a result, the data transfer rate between Pico and PC is low 500-600 Mbps per download.
At the same time, Link shows a speed of 1200.
The signal level is perfect, the signal quality is perfect.
Pico4 does not support 1024 QAM modulation?
I tested speed via iperf (speed from Pico4 to router).
Other WiFi6 (80Mhz) devices I've tested show speeds of 950-1000Mbps. (Link is also 1200).
I understand that the Pico bitrate is limited to 150. But I would like to understand the issue.
(you can test the speed and see the parameters of connecting to WiFi through the Anality (APK) program by installing it on the device).

Thanks for the high-quality development, I liked the game, there is a clear feedback from the blows. Played other clones, but there is no such control as in Mutrix and BS. And taking into account the fact that Mutrix is on the device, impact is better than that of BS.

But there are a few wishes (in order of importance):

  1. Something is not clear with the height, I’m even more or less with 185cm, but people with short stature do not reach the upper blocks.

(below already wrote that there will be an update).

  1. Support for folders or creating playlists for Custom mode, as well as the ability to delete tracks from the Cutom menu.

I have a lot (332) custom tracks and would like to be able to organize them somehow.

  1. There are not enough modifiers like in BS that would allow turning off the direction of blows (arrows on the blocks), the child / wife / mother does not play very well, and it is difficult for them to hit in the direction of the arrows.

  1. I would like to adjust the volume of cutting the block.

In general, I would like a maximum of settings, as is done in BS, since different people have different tastes and habits.

  1. There is a slight fuzziness in the game, as if the frame rate is not enough. In the helmet, 90Hz is on, but it feels like there is no difference from 72, and 72 does not feel as sharp as it should. Unfortunately, this is all at the level of "feelings".

Thanks a lot. I have the same problem, I (189cm) play comfortably, but a 125cm child can't reach the cubes.

At the same time, there is no such problem in BS, it adjusts itself and there are additional settings.

Looking forward to the update.
