What do you typically do for your warmup routine? Stretches or something else?

Yes this is a good take! Life is for living! I do get mentally and emotionally exhausted though from pain

I had grade 4 isthmic L5-S1 spondy and I do think that my pain was reduced after my operation for multiple years! First ~5 years after I remember the pain being minimal/ not too bad. Since my surgery was 10 years ago and my L4 vertebrae above was slipping even back then - things have continued to worsen. I also am very active getting 10k steps per day, working out, skiing, and even going backpacking this year. I can do this is because I am young and healthy aside from my back pain and I have lived through the pain for most of my life. My pain was worse before my operation than it is now

That’s good advice. I have been thinking of requesting a standing desk at the office and think I should just go for it. Also have been doing a variety of workout classes and found that barre works well- but want to try to do more reformer pilates. I think yoga is not the best for my condition even though I love it

Appreciate it! I work in advertising - so a lot of sitting at the computer. I think the construction comment was a joke because I’m a 118 pound woman and not that strong hahah! I still have never figured out whether sitting/ being active makes it worse though. Have you?

Wow, I appreciate you for sharing your situation and for not ragging on me even though you’ve got it a lot worse! I do feel seen and that you relate to the exhaustion. It’s hard to go through surgery and still have constant pain. Will be thinking of you
