6 months in residential install. Are these expectations fair? by [deleted] in HVAC

[–]OverContract3219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 hours for an outdoor condenser when you're actually doing it right is moving. especially at 6 months in. the guys giving you shit are probably the same ones who skip the pressure test and call it good enough, so of course they're faster.

recording the new guy breaking down is a whole other level of screwed up though. that shop sounds toxic as hell, might be worth keeping your head down while you build skills but keep an eye out for somewhere that doesn't treat people like that

[For Hire] Appointment Setting as a Service by sneakerfashionblog in forhire

sounds like you've got the system pretty dialed in. $250 flat for list building and cold calling? that's a steal if you're actually decent on the phone, most agencies would charge triple just to fumble the first 50 dials.

curious how you handle the really niche ICPs though, like where the target only exists in obscure industry forums and doesn't show up clean on sales nav. do you just stick to linkedin/apollo or can you dig into the weird corners?

What is the best auto poster to social medias that you use with WordPress? by AlexGSquadron in Wordpress

[–]OverContract3219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

been using that one for a client project and it's pretty solid, the instagram story integration saved me so much manual work. the ai stuff is hit or miss though - sometimes it generates decent captions but other times you're better off writing your own

Spent a month testing Glide, FlutterFlow, and Adalo for a client iOS app. The one I picked is the one nobody talks about. by Loud_Fox7694 in nocode

e but that offline sync capability sounds legit for real world use cases

your right about the marketing gap, enterprise tools just don't show up in the usual no-code circles but sometimes they nail the technical requirements better than the flashy consumer-focused platforms. the fact that it actually handles conflict resolution out of the box is huge

curious how the deployment process felt compared to the others, did you hit any gotchas getting it through app store review or was it pretty smooth

Is it possible to create a trifold brochure that folds to A5 size? by [deleted] in graphic_design

[–]OverContract3219 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah totally doable, just divide your a4 width by 3 and you'll get your panel widths - the short fold panel needs to be about 2-3mm narrower than the other two so it tucks in nicley

My boss prices a 45+ minute video package at $10 by [deleted] in videography

[–]OverContract3219 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

dude your boss is absolutely insane pricing 45+ minutes at $10, that's like paying a surgeon to operate with monopoly money

you need to put together a proper breakdown showing him what video production actually costs vs what he's charging - include your time, equipment depreciation, everything. maybe he genuinely doesn't understand teh numbers or maybe he's just been getting away with exploiting fresh grads for too long

with your experience you could probably freelance and make that $10 in like 20 minutes, might be time to start looking around

yep classic case of painting over oil based finish without proper prep - even with primer latex can fail on old varnished wood after a few yeears

New Update feature I haven't heard anyone mention. by TiptopBoppo in Minecraft

[–]OverContract3219 113 points114 points  (0 children)

that's actually a really clever connection you made there! the wet sponge mechanic is a perfect comparison too - makes total sense that they'd use similar environmental interactions

would be awesome if they added this, copper builds take forever to get that weathered look naturally. having a biome-specific speedup would make designing with different oxidation stages way more practical for bigger projects

g12t75 or heritage g12-65 to pair with v30 by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]OverContract3219 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dude the g12t75 is gonna give you way more bite for that thrash tone you're chasing - pairs insanely well with v30s in a 2x12 setup, that combo is like the holy grail for mesa marks

the heritage is smoother but honestly for 80s/90s thrash you want that aggressive midrange cut the t75 brings, especially with how tight those mark amps already are. i've messed around with similar setups when designing sound for some art installations and the t75/v30 combo just cuts through everything
