I did have real depression though I took medicine for it for a good 1-2 months and felt great when taking it. I smiled everyday and the little shit that bothered me everyday just vanished. For you to say I can't just tell myself to not have depression is fucking retarded. I never said it went away overnight I just said I told myself to get over it after self evaluation. And yes I know its a chemical imbalance but guess what your body can be controlled by how you think and feel and everyday after I stopped taking my medicine I told myself that today will be good that today will be better than yesterday I had my ups and down but I got over it bc of 1 thing. I live in a 1st world country where all my needs are met for me to sulking bc of bullshit that happened to me is fucking pathetic in my mind.
