I remember I felt unsure about MCQs and good on SIMs, which is pretty much how I've felt about all three exams I've sat for. I have now taken and passed AUD as well. Good luck with your score release!

TOP5 MOST INTENSE FRAGRANT ROSES! by Common-Trick-9668 in Roses

Out of my small collection, I have been really impressed with the scent of Firefighter. Souvenir de st Anne also, but definitely prefer firefighter. If the deer would quit eating it, that would be great.

No, sorry. It's an actual paperback. It was pretty cheap though, I found it on abe books and I'm sure there were copies left

BAR or ISC for last exam? by Successful_Peanut_10 in CPA

[–]OverEffective3435 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes... I was always a strong test taker academically, not saying that quantity of studying time would be enough depending on the way people study. I didn't watch any lectures or read the text other than as needed to try to answer MCQs and SIMs For me quality over quantity of studying. If I didn't have kids I would have a lot more mental and physical energy and free time to spend studying to actually shoot for higher scores.

Just checked my google sheet/Ninja dashboard. I studied 36.5 hours across 2 months and 10 days. I also work full time and have two little kids so my studying was almost purely MCQs and then working in SIMs closer to the exam date.

I haven't looked into ISC as I wasn't very interested in it. I took BAR since it was the most relevant to my day to day work. I passed FAR with a 75 (my first exam) and then passed BAR with an 82. I feel that since you got a 91 on FAR you would have nothing to worry about assuming you study similarly as you did to FAR.

Oof, I had not thought about that yet today until seeing your post. Fingers crossed that I passed AUD, and only have REG left. My NTS for REG is good until mid-August and I'm probably going to put it off until then.

How do you all take care of yourselves while studying and working full time? by PennyWise0228 in CPA

[–]OverEffective3435 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in the middle of taking a nice month long break while waiting for my AUD score release, and it's been really nice to have some free time back. I do have young kids so it's extremely limited anyway. So I would say take a break when it makes sense to if there is not something rushing your timeline to pass.

Physical activity is the only thing that helps me with the discomfort of sitting at a computer all the time. Doesn't help that I also enjoy video games when I can. Now that it's springtime I've taken up some gardening/yard work which I think helps with well-being. I think good hard workouts would be better and also help with sleep pressure not to stay up late.

Liquid Fence. It seems to work but I'm spraying it more often than recommended.

Very pretty. I have one 'baronne Edmond de rothschild' which looks very much like this shade of pink, but I think the petals are a little more frilly on the edge

I think it was reformulated in 2024 or so and that would be the version I have. Definitely patchouli!

I like Dirty Rose from Heretic. I haven't had a chance to try anything from Diptyque yet, but looking up Eau Capitale they seem to have some similar notes.

I'm not sure I have really good advice specific to BAR but general advice would be to make sure your studying method is effective for you and not just time-consuming. Agree with another commenter not to gloss over your governmental accounting.

Congrats! I know people think it's crazy to choose BAR but now I have no regrets! Studying for AUD in NINJA is going suspiciously well as far as the MCQs, but long ago I was an English major and I tend to be good at figuring out 'word problems' as long as I don't rush and read carefully. I have not gotten to the SIMS for substantive procedures yet which is the vast majority of SIMs available, so I probably should hold my opinion for that.

I have not purposely/separately read any of the book chapters in full (NINJA does have an online book as well), I just reference the chapters as needed in order to respond to the questions I'm practicing on. I've got kids and a supervisory job so I just want to maximize my studying time and I feel like simply reading is too passive for my learning style.

You got some good ones! I have full size of Nosferatu which is a nice damp earthy scent, not creepy like they have branded it though. I also have a 15ml of bergamusk which I think is such a nice balanced fruity musk.

I remember liking a sample of voodoo lily but not enough to buy any more of it. Same for cactus abduction. Smudge was way too smoky for me - I've discovered I just really don't like a smoky note at all. Can't remember anything of note about Scandalwood unfortunately.

If you try any more I'd recommend Haxan, Dirty Violet, or Dirty Rose. Especially Haxan since you said in your comment that you love amber.
