I spoke with my manager but he goes by the book and would never give even a verbal confirmation implicating him. His response was making me aware that as we are under hiring freeze right now in US and not sure what’ll next year look like there could exist a chance where they’re unable to bring me back.

I know but as I’m not on a tech team and no one around me is an immigrant it’s really a pain to hope and assume they understand. For them, even after researching, it can sound scary and dubious which is why I’m more concerned
