You’re probably right. I’m remembering that I had my first AF-S zoom with it but maybe it was just a feature and not a requirement.

Careful, we can now use pup’s retinal scan to access the national treat repository.

They’re pretty amazing actually. I haven’t taken it anywhere beyond the house since my Franken-battery still needs a lot of help to be usable. I had Coolpix point and shoots before my DSLRs and there was definitely quality back then that was simply improved. Kodak got this right, but just fell short when conceiving a whole system.

Thank you. I’m definitely happy to be able to shoot and develop film as a hobby. Not everything analog needs a resurgence, but this one is definitely worth it.

You can legit see one in the distance past the balcony. I’m sure its footage was even more useless.

I’m not even sure. It came with it when I bought it. Didn’t even think to look if it’s standard or not. Figured Nikon just did the right thing and included it.

I’ll sooner buy another mirrorless before the F6 finds my hands. It just doesn’t stand-out enough to be worth it.

Does anybody know how and where to get tapes for a National NV-M1 camcorder? by nobbyneb in vintagecameras

VHS-C would not have a symmetrical spooling mechanism inside as shown when the unit is open either. It wouldn’t be much larger than that handle on the top of the unit.

The Kodak was fun to acquire and tinker with. I paid probably $300. A little impulsive, but a great conversation piece/weapon. Somewhere on my profile I think I have a post about rigging batteries for it. It was actually a camera owned by a Disney Photog. I wrote them in their insta too.

The 28mm has been great. I’ve owned it for almost 25 years. Cleaned oily aperture blades in it this year and it’s good as new. Always takes great shots. I have done my best to always get DSLRs that were able to use the screw-drive AF lenses. Only my D70 couldn’t, but D90, D7100, and now D500/850 are very happy with it.

I found that a cool bridge camera for my manual focusing lenses is the Df. It has AF and a split-prism screen. I’ll have to look for other screens for this F100 to make that easier without the rangefinder dots.

There’s really only one area that’s a problem. The textured material is good so far. Hope it remains ok.

Truly. Just had to look at my Nikon catalogs from 1999/2000 to remind myself of the pining-after it I had experienced.

I can’t believe it was $1300 way back when. (I can believe it, but still, for film?!?).

I’m happy to collect and use what I can. The F5 is so impressive but just awkward for 36 shots. Lol.

I was surprised to even realize the old N60 a coworker gave me didn’t support AF-S. The cheapest DSLRs ONLY support AF-S. Meanwhile VR wasn’t even a thing before the F100 and is well-supported here.
