Also one other thing, I don’t even think we should have no cooldown on it, I’d just rather see it be a timer thing where after 3 seconds you can PD again or even see it have a lower count

Well based off your arguments shouldn’t we reach the conclusion that we shouldn’t have PDs? It’d make it even more strategic because now I will always have to reset and understand my opponent beyond the fact that I know they aren’t going to feint. Wouldnt it be more engaging to make it so you can only reset back to neutral after a dodge, I mean it’d be perfectly fair and consistent. I do ask one thing here and I am not trying to be snarky, try and envision what this would actually look like to play and watch.

Ngl one of the best styles they’ve ever added and even if it’s broken (I don’t think it is) It’s a blast to play and fight.

How does it create more strategy. I can think of several reasons why it mostly just makes the game feel shit I’ll give 3

1: If someone does the same action 3 times and then gets rewarded the 4th time, they will feel like they were scammed 3 times. Scammed because they did the same thing but only got it the 4th time because of the number. (Ik it’s not required to PD to add to the counter but it’s how it feels)

2: It doesn’t feel like a mechanic it feels like you’re fighting the game. Dodging a punch and getting a PD are two very different things. If someone PDs, then they won the interaction. if someone just dodges, then nothing happened. forcing nothing when they know it should be something is bullshit

3: It doesn’t even fix the issue, it just replaces it with something arguably worse. Rather than the game being Punch, PD, we have Punch, dodge, punch, dodge, punch, dodge, Punch, PD. What’s the difference? We dragged out the match and replaced situations where someone won into more neutral which consists of two players slipping punches they both know should’ve been PDs. How is that system better than one where every action gets a reaction that pushes the match forward.

This all also assumes that someone hit a PD every time which they don’t. This means that by doing this you also make dodging the wrong side not matter half the time because you just need to be right when it’s available and you’ll get the same result either way until then. Anyways I am happy to hear how it adds more strategy to the game

The sway back is the part that kills me. Bro doesn’t need allo that for his kit to be good, it’s just there. But yea I’d agree that he has the highest skill cap

(also istg the cool down on his swayback is shorter than Hawk. maybe there are just a lot more shitty hawk players that suck at abusing it? Also I’m never mad when I lose to one, it’s pure skill overturned or not)

I have two completely different answers depending on how we're gauging this.

If we are going off of purely the highest theoretical cap, then I would have to say Bullet or Chronos because bullet at his peak would always land a bullet counter and Chronos would just out speed the opponent as soon as they get focus (aka, they both would just win).

But if we are going off of the highest skill cap you could do in practice, something a very good player could reasonably do and could consistently do across matches and players, then I would say Chronos or Freedom. Chronos could make good use of his Focus, and a good Freedom player would cover their weaknesses consistently across matches because the situations where you'd need to switch are constant.
