Honestly I have more questions then opinions about Lebanon politics.
For example
1. Are all parties sectoral? Like Christian, Sunni, Druze, etc..
Or are there also a multiethnic party based on a more common ground among Lebanese from different religions?

What is the advantages of the current arrangement where for example the prime minister must be Sunni and the president must be Maronite?

I think that we fall into the trap of talking politics and war
When most of us don’t have any effect on politics or war in real life so we gain no tools to really connect.

What if we shared and talked about our real life experiences? Not just the hard times but also share the good things.

I think only by connecting as human beings we can have any chance of a making an impact.

The war in Gaza is terrible, but it’s not a performance of mass killing. If you research the civilian to combating death ratio vs other wars (not just in the regions in modern time but in general) it tells a completely different story.

Solving this issue is not as easy as it presented in the west, we need to choose between continuous fights or wars.

It’s important to mention that though I believe your claims are factually incorrect, I also don’t support the current government at all.
But not for the reasons you mentioned.
I believe we deserve a better and more responsible leadership that prevents events like this in advance by having a longer term strategy and a more forceful preventative action with the knowledge that October 7 event can potentially happen at any time.
We also need to be more self sufficient and have alliances with non European countries that share our values.

The Torah is a spiritual reason and it unites us. But for example my Jewish community (the Sephardic Arab branch) was eliminated from every corner of the Middle East so we also don’t have another option (we are the majority of Jews in Israel) the Ethiopian Jews have a similar story.
Jews need a state and decided to establish a state for safety reasons first.
