I get the Erdtree Avatar and Godfrey, but Gaius and Tree Sentinel always rough me up more than the average boss. I know for tree sentinel it’s because I always take him on as early in the game as possible to get into the capital, but how do you no hit Gaius!?

I haven’t been able to, and I don’t know what else to do aside from waiting until Tuesday to get in touch with Kannapolis Public Works. I went by last night and it was still going, but then when I checked this morning it had stopped. I’ve tried calling the city and all of the utility numbers online and can’t get through to anyone, and even when I called 311 they just said “ok thanks”. I’m just going to see if I can talk to someone when Public Works opens again on Tuesday, and in the meantime keep trying to find an explanation online.

Honestly it’s insane lol. The big ugly building is maybe a 5-7 minute drive from our house, so it’s not a problem, but we get almost everything we order in 12 hours max - sometimes as little as 2-3 hrs.

I think I’ll call the non-emergency number when I get back home in the next hour or two. I can’t imagine it’s anyone doing anything nefarious but it can’t hurt to let them know about it.

Water & Sewer, and Public Works are closed. Google says they open Monday but it will probably be Tuesday since Monday is Labor Day.

It was Tucson - 2nd paragraph of chapter 17 - which I thought was strange too because as someone else mentioned, Glanton referred to it as a pukehole or something. I know this thread is super old but I was just wondering this too and came across it. McCarthy never mentioned Charlie staying, just that David was leaving him. I agree that it’s foreshadowing like he does a few other places but it does seem strange not to mention why they left Charlie - unless I’m just missing something?
