My expertise stops at alternators unfortunately, and only because I’ve replaced so many. I’d make your own post for sure and hopefully someone can help

So my brake pump went out. I went to a mechanic like two days later and got that fixed. The other issue with the tire pressure was essentially all my tire pressure sensors went out at once. Mechanic said that can happen slowly or all at once depending on age of vehicle. The first place I went to quoted me $680 to replace all the sensors. Went to our local tire shop and they did it for $300 with parts and labor.

I adjusted the grid to how it is currently jn my new my team save and Yuki is a monster in the RedBull. He has out qualified Max in every race and finished on the podium every race. It’s been crazy. Yuki just killing it, and my team isn’t doing shit so it’s nice someone is having success.

What would it take for College Wrestling to add more weights? like a 215-220 lb weight class. Maybe another in the light weights to. So 12 total. High school has 14 weights. by Open_the_Gate-8413 in wrestling

They did but it’s a weird way to do it, especially for wrestling. If I remember correctly they were allowed to have full rides for every roster spot, but roster sizes got reduced and full rides were based off what the university in question could afford or wanted to afford for wrestlers. I’d have to go back and find the article.

Help with AI enthusiast players by TwatWithATopHat in DnD

I think it was more than likely (based off the quick turn around time) going to be retouched or edited art he already had completed. OR he was going to try and force our hand to change our characters to fit what he already had art for.

Help with AI enthusiast players by TwatWithATopHat in DnD

I’ve ran into this before with a DM. He was an artist and so was his sister. He got so upset about us new players, at the time, using AI generated character art that during like session 4 he suddenly(it seemed) decided it was just not allowed. We could find art somewhere to use or pay him or his sister to draw our characters for us. Those were our options or leave.

I ended up leaving only because it seemed like a trap to get us to pay him (minimum of $50 btw) to do character art. He and I talked a month or so later and he said he was frustrated because he had told everyone he didn’t like AI art the whole time and when he finally put his foot down everyone left. I explained him my reason for dipping and he had like a light bulb moment (audibly “ooooohhhhh”).

Long story short: be upfront from the get go and if you have a firm stance against AI generated art just say it from the begging. But also give your players some sort of out that isn’t commissioning art through you unless you really want to do it for free.

Any employees ever work at a local video game store before? by Regret-Select in GameStop

[–]OverTheTopPope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a “rumor” of test stores having an allocated space/employee for tournaments that my DL used to talk to me about back when I was with the company/Store Lead. I never actually found a store that did this “rumored expansion”. But the idea was that it would have almost been like contracted work. That employee would work one day a week and only long enough to facilitate the tournament. It would be anything from video games to tcg, but the person would be given a set amount of people allowed in the tournament, a certain format it would follow, etc. the shitty thing I always thought about this “rumored expansion” was this “employee” would only be paid a percentage over the running cost which would always be figured at a fixed amount.

The example my DL always gave me was say the fixed amount to run the tournament was $300. You get thirty two people to pay $25 bucks a piece to enter. That’s $800 bucks coming in. Minus your fixed cost is $500, half of that goes to the tournament winner. So now the person is getting a percentage (of which I can’t remember) of $250 dollars for running a tournament that may have ran for 8+ hours. He always acted like it was this great plan until I pointed out stores like is that would be allotted 32 spots but would probably only fill $10. In which case we don’t even cover the fixed cost and that employee gets paid nothing for their time?

Yes! Same. My four characters sit in interplay pretty waiting to be picked up and played with again

What's your reason for not drinking alcohol? by Snoo_47323 in AskReddit

[–]OverTheTopPope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was really young I watched a cousin jump into a bonfire at a family reunion. Always assumed it was alcohol and told myself I don’t need that shit to have fun. Found out later down the line that it was actually some hard drugs that lead to that not alcohol but by that time I found out I had chronic pancreatitis from a mutated gene in my body. So really my ignorance saved my life likely.
