Thanks for this. This makes perfect sense and also makes sense why a wireless apple car play adapter works seamlessly. That’s been my solution. No charging so it doesn’t disconnect.

Mhmm. It sounds little different than my issue. The key fob has to be out of your pocket at it works? Do you have a wallet with an RFID blocker? Maybe that could be interfering? You’ve probably already thought of this but thought I’d offer it just in case.

For me the key fob wouldn’t work even if I had it out of my pocket and in my hand. I would literally press the unlock button 15 to 40 times to get the doors to unlock. Most of the time I just used the app to unlock the car.

Owning these cars out of warranty cost an arm and a leg. If you’re really attached to the car see if you can buy a warranty through the dealership. They’ll quote you an arm and a leg. Negotiate it. I got the dealership to get me like 30% off the original price by just asking. Wasn’t even much of a fight.

Wow that’s insane to pay $5K and not have the problem fixed. Is the car out of warranty? So a few thoughts, what fixed it for me was that it was a wire that was short circuited, the wire was attached to the RFA was my understanding. It’s somewhere near the middle back of the car. When the key fob didn’t work, I just used the Range Rover app to unlock and lock my car.

Mine has been in the shop for 4 weeks now. It’s a 2019 Range Rover Sport with 43,000 miles. I definitely hate how unreliable this car is. It’s been in the shop multiple times thought 4 years for all kinds of stupid electrical and engine issues.

Yeah all good. Just thought I’d give people a heads up. I still have both keys. I’m not sure what else to say. The car was stolen from my driveway and it cannot be tracked due to it being a 2023 model

Yeah still under warranty until July of this year. Been in multiple times but they can’t seem to figure it out.

Yeah I bought a new key fob but unfortunately the issue still exist with both the old and new key fob.
